Boardman chamber plans September activities
DA’s report
Morrow County
District Attorney Justin
Nelson has released the
following report:
-Cylie
Lailani-
Merie Hepton, 19, was
convicted of Harassment,
a Class B misdemeanor,
and was sentenced to 90
days of jail, suspended, 24
months’ bench probation
with numerous probation
conditions, 20 hours of
community service and or­
dered to pay $498 in fines,
fees and assessments.
-Elton
Arthur
Long, 41, was convicted
of Possession o f a Con­
trolled Substance-Meth-
amphetamine, a Class C
felony, and was sentenced
to 18 months’ formal pro­
bation, 160 hours o f com­
munity service, ordered to
complete a drug treatment
program, with numerous
probation conditions, and
pay $1,678 in fines, fees

and assessments.
-Fred Allen Silva,
48, was convicted of Pos­
session of Methamphet-
amine, a Class C felony,
service and sentenced to
three years’ probation with
numerous probation condi­
tions, and ordered to com­
plete an anger manage­
ment course, pay $1,253 in
fines, fees and assessments
and complete 260 hours of
community service. He was
also convicted of Assault­
ing a Public Safety Officer,
a Class C felony, sentenced
to three years probation
with numerous probation
conditions and ordered to
pay $1,458 in fines, fees
and assessments.
-Robert
Shane
Laughlin, 46, was convict­
ed of Possession of Meth-
amphetamine, a Class C
felony, and sentenced to
180 days in jail, suspended,
two years’ bench probation
with numerous conditions,
40 hours community ser­
vice, and ordered to pay
$268 in fines, fees and as­
sessments.
-Cesar
Guzman
Madrigal, 21, was con­
victed of Interference with
Making a Report, a Class
A misdemeanor, and sen­
tenced to 180 days in jail,
suspended, 24 months’
bench probation, 50 hours
of community service with
numerous probation con­
ditions and ordered to pay
$1,018 in fines, fees and
assessments. He was also
convicted of Harassment,
a Class B misdemeanor,
and sentenced to 90 days
in jail, suspended, with 24
months’ bench probation
with numerous probation
conditions, complete 50
hours community service
and pay $668 in fines, fees
and assessments.
Boardman
Chamber
plans monthly lunch
The
September
Chamber Lunch will be
a bus tour of the Port of
Morrow. The bus will
leave at 11:30 a.m. and re­
turn at 1:30 p.m. We will
have a box lunch catered
by Boardman Select Mar­
ket. This month the cost
of the bus and lunch is $20
per person and RSVP is re­
quired. Call to reserve your
seat on the bus.
Rollin’ on the River
Get your tickets
now for the third annual
Rollin’ on the River on Sat­
urday, September 24, from
3 - 9 p.m. at the Boardman
Marina Park. Tickets are
$20 each ($25 at the event)
and include: dinner, live
music, classic car show and
a chance to visit with old
friends and meet new ones.

Boardman Quilt Show
The Board-
man Quilt Show is Friday
and Saturday, September
23 and 24 at the Board-
man Senior Center. Show
times are from 10 a.m. to
4 p.m. each day. Lunch is
available for purchase at
the quilt show. Admission
is $3.
American Diabetes Asso­
ciation
Con Agra Food/
Lamb Weston is challeng­
ing you to participate in a
fundraiser for the Ameri­
can Diabetes Association, a
5 K walk on September 24
at the Boardman Marina.
Registration is at 8:45 a.m.
and the walk at 9 a.m. The
cost of the walk is $25 per

Career Day
The Chamber is
beginning to contact busi­
nesses about participating
in the annual Career Day
on Wednesday, October
19.Anyone who is inter­
ested and hasn’t participat­
ed before, are asked to let
the Chamber know. There
are 67 Riverside seniors
to place into prospective
businesses this year.

chamber has almost all of
the buttons from all the
previous Fourth of July
celebrations. The Cham­
ber is missing 1980, 1989,
2000, 2002, 2003, 2004,
and 2005. The buttons will
be displayed in a Shadow
Box at the Chamber office.
It would be appreciated if
anyone who has any of the
missing buttons could do­
nate them to the Chamber.
