minds producers that, in
order to r e c e iv e U S D A
program paym ents, each
paym ent recip ien t m ust
have an A djusted G ross
Income (AGI) verification
consent form on file with
the Internal Revenue Ser
vice (IRS).
The consent form
authorizes the IRS to verify
whether a payment recipi
ent’s AGI meets the eligi
bility requirements for FSA
programs. The form became
a requirement for payment
eligibility beginning with
the 2009 crop year. H ow
ever, many program par
ticipants have not complied
with this requirement.
"IRS and U SD A
reports show that, nation
wide, FSA is still missing
the required consent forms
from many producers for
2009 and 2010,” said Car-
nine. “In order to avoid an
interruption o f program
payments, producers need
to check their business re
cords and turn these forms
in to the IRS immediately
if they have not done so
already.”
IRS requires writ
ten consent from all indi
viduals or legal entities be
fore verification o f the av
erage AGI can be provided
to USDA. Individuals must

submit form CCC-927 and
legal entities must submit
form C C C -928. Without
these forms on file, produc

C a m in e fu rther
clarifies that these consent
forms are required for pay

Natural R esources C on

as w ell as those received
through FSA. Completed
forms must be returned to
the IRS.
