The Third Annual Mustang Youth Track Meet
will be held Sunday, May 15 at 1 p.m. The Heppner High
School track team and the Heppner Youth Track Club are
sponsoring the event.
The meet will be held at the Heppner High School
track. Races include the 25-meter, 50-meter, 100-meter
and one-lap races. Other events are the tennis ball throw,
standing long jump and hurdles. Children aged one year
to fifth grade are eligible to compete. The meet is free to
all participants, but donations will be accepted.
Watercolor class planned for May

Creative Arts and Crafts
is sponsoring a watercolor
class with Hyon Fielding
in Heppner on May 13 and
14. Participants are asked
to bring their own photos
or set up a still life for the
class.

to revitalize rural Oregon
and the Pacific Northwest
to submit nominations for
the 2011 Rural Awards of
Excellence.
W inners w ill be
recognized at the Regards
to Rural 2011 Conference
during the ‘Rural Awards of
Excellence’ ceremony and
lunch on Saturday, June 25.
Representatives will be in­
vited to attend, accept their
award and enjoy lunch.
Regards to Rural will be
held Friday and Saturday,
June 24-25 at the Oregon
State University campus in
Corvallis.
Those interested
may self-nominate or submit
a nomination for a group,
organization or individual
they feel is most deserving.
Submission for all nomi­

the Regards to Rural 2011
conference website.
