mittee welcome the partici­
pants to town by participat­
ing in a Poker Run, where
registered car owners went

a card for a poker hand. The

First Fridays Friends
of Jesus to be held Friday
April begins this Friday. That means it’s time for
another session of First Fridays Friends of Jesus, spon­
sored by the shared ministry o f Hope Lutheran Church
and All Saints Episcopal Church.
All children ages 4 through 12 are invited to at­
tend, and newcomers are always welcome. This program
is held at All Saints Episcopal Church from 8 a.m. to noon
on the first Friday o f each month during the school year.
The fast-paced morning is filled with Bible stories and
skits, games and crafts, songs, snacks and lunch. There is
no cost to attend. More information is available by calling
the church office at 541-676-9970.
HES to host Spring Sock Hop

fourth graders on how to do the Hand Jive for the upcoming
Spring Sock Hop. HES families are invited to kick up their
heels on April 7 from 7-9 in the gym. The annual PTC hosted
event will include appetizers, raffle baskets, and dancing for
all ages. A science fair will be set up in the cafeteria to show­
case projects that our students have been working on. There
will be no prizes awarded. For more information about the
dance or science fair contact Brandi Sweeney at 541-676-9128.
