Oregon Education Association seeks
nominations of outstanding educators
The Oregon Edu
cation Association (OEA)
has la u n ch ed its fourth
annual “Working Wonders
Contest,” as part o f OEA’s
continued effort to highlight
the great work o f Oregon
educators.
“Every day, Oregon
educators transform our
public schools from good to
great. Through innovation,
creativity, and a passion for
educating students - they
work wonders in and out o f
the classroom,” said OEA
president Gail Rasmussen.
“Too often, these stories go
unheard. We want to put a
spotlight on educators who
are doing incredible work
with their students.”
This year, the con
test calls for nominations
o f educator stories. A panel
o f experts and education
leaders w ill selec t three
winning entries for a cash
prize. Each winning story
will also be considered for a
future public video project,
sponsored and produced by
the Oregon Education As
sociation.
Nom inations may
feature anyone working in
O regon ’s public sch ools
and com m unity colleges.
Submissions are welcom e
and encouraged from any
one working in or with pub
lic schools and the general
public.
The deadline for
nom inations is April 11,
2010 .
For fu ll c o n te st
rules and to fill out an on
line nomination form visit
