KT’S Bunny Barn, co-owned and operated by Kathy Tellechea and Pamela Renfro of Lexington,
have had another successful year showing their Mini Rex rabbits. They have placed in the top
three in standings for the National Mini Rex Club for the past seven years. Tellechea/Renfro
did not attend the 2010 ARBA Convention held in Minneapolis, MN this past week, but their

City of Boardman pledges $70,000 to new health clinic
The Boardman City
Council pledged $70,000
over the next two years to
the Columbia River Com
munity Health Services
(CRCHS) new building
project during the last meet
ing on November 16. The
city’s pledge will come in
the form of cash and/or
in-kind donations such as
manual labor and waiving
of city fees.
The new 15,000
sq. ft. clinic will be built
between Willowfork Drive
and Wilson Lane in Board-
man. The city council was
supportive of the project
and believes it will be an
asset to the Boardman com
munity. They hope other
donors will follow their
lead and pledge to the proj
ect as well.
Mike Wilson o f
Westby Associates in Van
couver, WA is working with
the CRCHS to find funding
for the 4.7 million dollar
project. He explained that
the fundraising campaign
has acquired an anonymous
donor who has commit
ted to a 100% match for
pledges made to the project,
up to $ 100,000. So far the
fundraising campaign has
secured 78% of the total
cost and plans to break
ground on the new clinic in
April of 2011.
In other city busi
ness, the council voted to
deny Umatilla Electric’s
request for placing a new
power pole along the north
side of Wilson Lane for the
new health clinic project.
The city’s development
code requires services to be
placed underground.
The next m eet
ing of the Boardman City
Council will be Tuesday,
December 7, at 7 p.m.
Community Lunch Menu
Christian Life Center members will be serving
lunch on Wednesday, December 1, at St. Patrick’s Senior
Center. The menu will include pork chops, mashed pota
toes with gravy, green beans, fruit cocktail, hot rolls, and
bread pudding. Menu is subject to change.
