Boardman city manager receives favorable review, renews contract
The Boardman City
C ouncil announced they
had given City M anager
Karen Pettigrew a favorable
review during their annual
review process held in ex
ecutive session October 5.
The city also renewed her
contract for the 2010-2011
fiscal year with a 2% pay
increase.
Some o f the city’s
accomplishments this past
year include south M ain
Street widening, curb, and
sidew alk im provem ents,
coordination o f freew ay
overpass closure for re
pair, and preparatory engi
neering and consulting for
several future streets and
im provem ents. Pettigrew
has been the city manager
for three years.
In other city busi
ness, the council heard re
ports from the city’s depart
ment heads for the city’s
q u a rte rly rev iew o f the
Strategic Plan. The council
also heard testim ony on
language changes to the
D evelopm ent C ode and
has proposed passage of an
implementing ordinance at
their next regularly sched
uled meeting.

Dion and Gayla Jones, will host Dorine Enz who will be
demonstrating how to make Christmas bows. The dem
onstration will be held at the Senior Center on Tuesday,
November 2, at 6:30 p.m.
The Heppner Garden Club is an active club and
is open to the public.
