And the tradition continues with another generation of farmers
in training. Loren Heideman gets some farming advice from

Letter to Editor:
Hooray for the Tea Party activists speaking out
for people w ho are fed up w ith an out-of-touch spendthrift
government leading us down the wrong path. Hope
fully November will see a big turn around o f elected
officials.
I’ve been asked several times why 1 haven’t writ
ten columns. I’m more of a tea partier, a trifle on the used
side trying to stay out o f hot water. Meanwhile I’ve been
busy working on my bucket list. There are a few things
I’d still like to accomplish. Yet somehow it’s easier to
imagine an accomplishment than to activate the “get ‘er
done” process. Another list features things that bug me
or are confusing.
Number one concern is government leadership
and political issues. It’s so obvious what is wrong in this
great country. Many elected representatives with socialist
type minds continue go against the will of the majority
o f the people they were elected to represent when all it
takes is common sense.
On minor issues. I’m also offended by the idiot-
type commercials on television aimed at moron-type
mentality. Some don’t even make sense perhaps due to
slowed-down thoughts processes or else I’m just not up
to speed on trends. I don’t have to watch commercials,
but that happens when the remote control takes a hike
and hides. Sometimes those funny commercials exceed
the quality o f the program they sponsor. If one doesn’t
care for murder, mayhem or sexual content then there’s
not a lot of choices. Some o f the reality shows seem like
elaborate hoaxes.
The English language continues to evolve. New
words are being coined and added. Some defy explana
tion especially when working crossword puzzles. But
why desecrate established words with solid meanings?
The dictionary definition o f troops means “a group of
people or soldiers.” When did the word ‘troops’ become
singular, as often said in the news, reporting the loss o f a
‘troop’ meaning one soldier.
We aren’t supposed to favor different lifestyles
or genders. 1 guess that’s why there’s such a liberal usage
o f the word ‘guys.’ Even when a group of people is all
female they are still referred to as ‘guys.’ W hat’s wrong
with gals, folks or “Hi Everybody” when talking to a
mixed crowd? Please can’t we come up with something
else besides ‘awesome’? I’d settle for a few archaic ‘golly
gee whiligers.’
A few high school shorthand symbols still help
when taking notes. The current texting craze makes some
words barely recognizable. How are young students go
ing to learn how to spell or do they rely on a computer’s
spell checker when doing homework? It’s also confusing
to read a printed story with only the initials or acronym
o f a body or organization, especially if you don’t know
what that refers to. It does take more time and ink to spell
out things in our hurry-up world.
Take for example, WW1I for the last world war,
though it seems we continued to duke it out in some part
o f the world. With a little stretch o f imagination it could
also stand for “Weird Wackos in Congress.” Or would
that be WWC?
If the country w asn’t so far in debt perhaps there
could be another WPA (Works Progress Administration).
In 1938 that program was part o f the new deal under
Roosevelt that paid 3.3 million workers a salary that var
ied from $19 to $94 dollars for a 30 hour week to work
on public entities such as roads, parks, bridges, etc. Some
criticized the program and called it “We Piddle Around”
because at times men leaned on their shovels. That sounds
an awful lot like some o f today’s government employees
minus any shovels.

Demand accountability and journalistic
integrity
To the editor:
The liberal left and media surrogates have put
America at risk by inciting w orship o f a new god o f tol
erance. All who fail to bow to this false god are labeled
‘ophobic’ (hateful, bigoted, intolerant i.e. terrorist). In
reality the opposite is true. The liberal left has further
endangered America by exercising zero tolerance in re
moving the Bible, prayer, the Ten Commandments from
America’s historical Christian heritage. The media, the
government press and the liberal left have redefined the
meaning of tolerance to advance a cunningly crafted
revision o f America selectively tolerant o f everything
except patriots that love America (tea party supporters)
and Christians that honor Jesus Christ and the Bible. Is-
lamophobia and homophobia represent the biased liberal
m edia’s cunningly deceitful thrust to portray patriots
holding conservative and traditional biblical Christian
values as bigoted, hateful, and intolerant.
The current controversy o f a mosque at ground
zero removes the mask covering the false god of toler
ance and the deceit o f the left. The liberal media and its
pundits cry out to the god o f tolerance railing against the
Islamophobia of angry, bigoted, intolerant Americans op
posed to a mosque at ground zero. The liberal press and
the Obama administration have endangered the liberty
o f Americans by advancing the Cordoba House mosque
o f Islamic Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf as a new founda
tion for America based on tolerance, religious harmony
and liberty under multi-religious cultures exhorting the
peaceful virtues o f Islam. Historical truth that the liberal
media deliberately delete and chillingly revise tells a
different story. Throughout Islam's history o f conquest
by the sword whenever a region was conquered the first
sign was the erection o f a mosque atop the sacred site of
the vanquished. In Mecca the pagan Ka’ba temple was
converted to a mosque, the holiest site o f Islam. When
Islam conquered Jerusalem the Dome o f the Rock, the al-
Aqsa Mosque, was built atop of Solomon’s Temple. When
Islam invaded and conquered Damascus the Umayyad
Mosque was built atop the Church of St. John. When
Constantinople was conquered the Hagia Sophia temple
was converted into a mosque.
It is no accident that Imam Rauf has chosen ‘Cor
doba House’ as the name o f the victory mosque atop o f
the ruins o f 9/11. Cordoba, Spain was the site of Islam’s
greatest victory over the Christian Spanish infidels in the
12,h Century. Cordoba, Spain was the first western pow er
conquered by the sword of Islam and became a base to
launch further attacks into the heart of Europe. All Islam
understands the conquest o f the Cordoba House over the
West. The liberal press and the Obama administration
function covertly as the lying mouthpiece for the Cordoba
House intrusion o f America under the guise o f the god
o f tolerance. Flight 93 has already been enshrined with a
giant crescent pointing to Mecca to commemorate Islam’s
great victory of 9/11. Wake up Americans. “My people are
destroyed for lack o f knowledge.” (Hosea 4:6) There is
no tolerance for liberty under Islam or the false peace o f a
multicultural utopia the left is striving to create. Demand
accountability and journalistic integrity from newspapers
that promote the false god of tolerance with slanted news
articles and biased liberal pundits. Stop tolerating the
desecration and mocking o f G od’s grace and blessing on
America. There is only one God and Christ is the only
savior and redeemer for mankind, not Mohammed.
