Everyone is invited to
come out to the Morrow County
Fair and check out the newly-
painted Fair Pavilion and 4-H
annex. The Fair Board extends
its appreciation to everybody
who volunteered their time to
paint, especially Jan Stroeber
for being in charge and all her
hard work in overseeing the
painting, Shirley Sweigart for
her decorating ideas for fair
this year and Kenneth Howard
for fixing the wooden benches
around the grounds.
The Fair Board has
also made other improvements
on the grounds. The stage has
been moved and the wash racks
are now available for the sheep
and goat exhibitors to use.
The superintendents
have also changed things
around inside to make it more
convenient to enter items in the
Fair. Come down and “Kick It
Up, Live It Up” and check out
the new layout for Fair.

Oregon’s Best Contests a tradition
at the Morrow County Fair
The Oregon’s Best Contests are a tradition at the Mor
row County Fair. The contests are intended to inspire creativity
using Oregon products. This year, contests include Bob’s Best
Home-Baked Bread Contest, featuring Bob’s Red Mill flours and
products; Down Home Favorites Recipe contest, sponsored by
FLAV-R-PAC and Santiam; Delicious, Nutritious Cheese Recipe
Challenge, sponsored by the Dairy Farmers of Oregon; and the
Hermiston Water
melon Seed Spitting
Contest, sponsored
by Hermiston Wa
