Boardman adopts 2010-2011 city and URA budgets EOU to confer degrees during commencement
During their June
1 meetings, the Boardman
City Council adopted the
2010-2011 City budget of
$6,476,633 and the Urban
Renewal Agency adopted
their 2010-2011 budget o f
$332,000. Property taxes
will be levied at a rate
o f $4.2114 per $1000 of
assessed valuation and
$475,000 will be levied
for bonded indebtedness
not subject to Measure 5 or
Measure 50 limitations.
City Finance Di
rector, Thomas Kligel said
the general fund budget
is tight this year due to
the lack of cash carryover
from the 2009-2010 budget.
He anticipates using much
of the 2010-2011 reserve
funds on the South Main
Street curbs and sidewalks
construction project.
In other city busi
ness, Councilors approved
the printing of 1000 De
velopment Incentives Bro
chures to be distributed the
month of July. The council
also approved an intergov
ernmental agreement with
Morrow County for road
maintenance on mutual
roads.

ing of the Boardman City
Council will be Tuesday,
June 15, at 7 p.m.
The lone Ameri
can Legion Auxiliary will
be holding a July 4'h Rug
Raffle to raise money for
Sgt. Christian Bagge of
Parkdale, who lost his legs
during his time with the
military.
Sgt. Bagge and his
family are now in need of
a home capable of meeting
his new needs. Homes for
Our Troops is the organi
zation that will be building
the home.

the stadium.
