Boardman
proclaims
Arbor Week
Tuesday night the
B oardm an C ity C ouncil
approved a proclamation in
honor o f Arbor Day. Each
year the city designates a
full week in April as “Arbor
Week” in Boardman. This
year National Arbor Day is
on April 30. Subsequently,
B oardm an’s A rbor Week
will be the week o f April
25.
The proclamation
urges all citizens to ob­
serve the week by planting
trees and participating in
programs the sponsors o f
A rbor Day may provide.
The council will also be
planting a tree in honor of
Arbor Day.
In other city news,
the city council performed
a quarterly review o f the
city’s Strategic Plan, reaf­
firming their num ber one
goal was for the South Main
Street improvements.
The next regularly
scheduled meeting o f the
Boardman City Council is
Tuesday, May 4, at 7 p.m. at
Boardman City Hall.
