Oregon East Symphony Chorale and A Sharp Players present “Spring Finale” Concert
On Saturday April
17, the Oregon East Sym
phony (OES) will pres
ent its last concert of the
season at the Vert Auditori
um. With something for ev
eryone, the A Sharp Players
and OES Orchestra, OES
Chorale, Mid Columbia
Mastersingers and finalists
from our 2010 Young Artist
Competition are eager to
celebrate the spring.
This concert high
lights the musical talents of
exemplary regional young
artists, accompanied by
the OES orchestra and A
Sharp Players. Our special
soloists for this concert are
harpist Rebecca Jepson (14)
of lone, performing the el
egant Debussy’s “Danses.”
Katie Zorich of Richland,
WA, winner of the 2010
OES Young Artist Competi-
tion intermediate division,
will play her winning piece,
Mozart’s “Piano Concerto
#17.” Also featured will be
soprano McKenna Milici of
Whitman College in Walla
Walla, singing from the
Strauss opera “Die Fled-
ermaus.” Joel Willard (16)
a junior at Walla Walla
Academies will perform
our concert prelude with
two classical guitar selec
tions. Both artists received
honorable mention awards
in the 2010 Young Artist
competition and were just
too talented not to feature
in a concert.
Tfye”Spring Fina
le” concert begins at 7.30
p.m. in the Vert Audito-
rium, on S W 4th and Dorian
Streets in Pendleton. Join
us by 7.15 for our prelude of
classical guitar. We would
like to invite all our patrons
to participate in the Music
Director’s selection process
by attending this concert
and completing a survey
about their experience.
Tickets for this per
formance are $16/$20 for
adults, $13/$ 17 for seniors
and $3/$8 for students.
Children under 12 are free.
Tickets can be purchased at
the OES Office, 345 SW 4*
Street, Armchair Books, 39
