The fam ily o f Tim othy
T. Welbom would like to
thank you for the flowers,
cards, prayers, phone calls
and donations to the Con
don Dollars for Scholars.
Tim was loved by many
people and will be greatly
missed.
The Welboms
Tim, Carol, Clark, Beth
and Chad McVeigh.
Thank you so much to the
Heppner Chamber of Com
m erce, especially Daye
Stone and Sheryll Bates for
organizing a very special
evening by honoring Kenny
with the dedication of the
Ring Side Bell. Daye, your
heartfelt words were very
special to us in remember
ing him. Letting the grand
kids have the first ring of
the beautiful bell was a mo
ment we won't forget. Ken
was proud to be involved
in anything that could bring
commerce to Heppner and
would never pass up on
a big gathering of friends
either. He was excited to
be involved in the Boxing
Smoker and would be very
proud of the honor
Our Chamber and the local
business and individuals
involved work countless
hours on events like this,
that help Heppner thrive.
We appreciate the extra
time you took to honor
Kenny in such an appropri
ate special way.
Thank you!

We would like to give our
heartfelt thanks to the Wil
low Creek Park District, es
pecially Skip Mathews and
Kim Cutsforth for the honor
you gave Kenny in dedi
cating the Willow Creek
Day Park in his name. We
appreciated everyone that
attended the dedication; he
had many good friends and
family. Kenny was proud to
be involved in the vision of
the Park and the potential
for it's uses that benefit
our Community. He would
have been humbled by the
enormous honor of naming
it after him.
Special thank you to Joe
Lindsay for sharing the
wonderful song you wrote
about Kenny, it always
brings humor and good
memories. Thank you to
Skip for your kind words
and to Kim for opening
your home when the snow
made it so cold, the cake
and coffee at your home
was the perfect ending to
the ceremony. We know
you were both instrumen
tal in making it all happen
and the Willow Creek Park
District does so much for
our communities.
Thank you!
The Family of Ken Turner

We want to thank everyone
that helped with the sign on
the Gilliam Bisbee build
ing. Bob Hager for making
the letters. Butch Laughlin
and Bob Harrison for the
painting and the assembly
of the sign, and Rod Wilson
for his help in putting the
sign up.
We especially want to thank
the folks from Columbia
Basin Electric that supplied
equipment and crew that
enabled us to put the sign
up and in place. I think
everyone would agree that
it really looks great.

Patrick’s Wee Bit O ’ Ireland
Celebration provided our
community another great
time to celebrate the Irish
heritage,
see
visitors,
friends and family wander
our streets and participate
in the events that the St.
Patrick’s Committee and a
long list of volunteers has
been working on for many
months.
Although the
weather through us a curve
on Friday by bringing
snow, it didn’t stop the
weekend celebration and
Sunday ended up being a
great day for Road Bowling
and Sheep Dog Trials.
Thank you doesn’t seem
adequate in expressing
my appreciation for all of
the hard work, months of
planning and commitment
to putting on such an
incredible weekend and I
know that all of you who
played a part don’t do it
for the “thank you”, but
because you are part of the
community. Nevertheless,
I hope you will accept my
sincere thank you for all
you did to help make this
weekend such a success
and 1 am so fortunate to
be able to work with such
fantastic volunteers! Let’s
do it again next year. Don’t
forget that the celebration
will be held a week later
(March 17-20, 2011).
