contact and determined the

phone call.

ject that she was being

Duane Bond, 60, for DUI I
with a BAC o f . 15. He was
cited and released.
-MCSO received
report from a subject who
said his juvenile sister heard
noises outside at the resi­
dence in Irrigon and the
dogs were barking, then
suddenly stopped barking
harassed by a female. A
deputy made contact and
the incident resolved.
-MCSO cited Le­
roy M. Petterson, 77, for
Violation of the Basic Rule,
84 mph in a 55 mph zone.
-M CSO arrested
Kiana Elizabeth Carmack,
31, on an Irrigon Justice
Court warrant for Failure to
Appear/Driving While Sus­
pended. She was released
on her own recognizance
with $6,000 bail. She was
also cited for Violation of
the Basic Rule, 70 mph in
a 55 mph zone.
-MCSO received
a cell phone call from a
subject w ho did not speak
English. He put a female
on the line who also did not
speak English.
-MCSO received
report of a lost wallet the
previous night at Irrigon
Elementary School or Ir­
rigon High School.
-M CSO, Irrigon
Ambulance received report
from a 77-year-old woman
that she fell in her back yard
in Irrigon and was not able
to get up. She said she had
tried for the past hour. A
deputy responded and as­
sisted. The subject refused
transport and Emergency
Services was advised to
stand down.
-MCSO received
request from an Irrigon
male that he can't take care
of his two dogs and would
like the sheriff's office to
take them to Pet Rescue. He
w as advised he was respon­
sible for taking care of his
own dogs and he could take
them to Pet Rescue himself.
MCSO told him they would
take care of abandoned and
stray animals.
-MCSO received
report of a large black cloud
of smoke coming from a
semi on Hwy. 730, Irrigon.
A deputy made contact w ith
the driver who said he knew

He was advised to "limp it”
into a repair shop.
-MCSO received
report of a panic alarm at
the Morrow County Circuit
Court office. Dispatch con­
tacted them and determined
that everything was okay
and the button had been
accidentally bumped.
-MCSO com m u­
nicated with an Irrigon
subject about the location
of a feral cat problem.
-MCSO received
reports of an Isuzu Rodeo
driving erratically and run­
ning a semi off the road
and a green Honda Accord
driving recklessly, speeding
up to 90 mph with three
young males inside, both
on 1-84, Boardman. Oregon
State Police was adv ised on
both calls.
-MCSO received
report from a Boardman
subject that the c a lle r’s
neighbor keeps allow ing his
dogs to go into the caller’s
yard. The dog owner was
warned to keep his dog on
his property.
-MCSO received
report of people swimming
in the canal in Boardman
and throwing things in the
water. A deputy made con­
tact with two males and de­
termined that they weren’t
swimming, but their dog
was. They were advised not
to allow their dog to swim
in the canal.
-MCSO received
report o f a male subject
driving an ATV up and
down Eagle Road, Heppner,
at a high rate of speed. The
caller said he made contact
with the subject and he
refused to slow down. A
deputy made contact and
the driver said he would
slow down.
-MCSO received
report from an Irrigon sub­
ject that a Honda had driven
past his house slowly three
times in the last 10 minutes.
It turned out that the vehicle
belonged to a neighbor
looking for a missing ju ­
venile.
-MCSO warned ju ­
veniles about skateboard­
ing in Heppner without
helmets.

elects new officers

OWGL Im m ediate Past
President, Kevin Porter,
offered a slate of officers
for 2010 as follows: Darren
Padget, president; Craig
Reeder, vice president; Ty­
son Raymond, secretary/
treasurer and JeffNewtson,
immediate past president.
The members present at the
annual meeting unanimous­
ly accepted the proposed
slate of officers and Presi­
dent Jeff Newtson swore
the new officers in effective
January 1,2010.
The Oregon Wheat
Growers League leadership
bestow ed awards upon sev­
eral individuals. During the
annual meeting. President
Jeff Newtson, honored the
following individuals: Ore­
gon Wheat Grow ers League
Board members. Shannon
Rust - Morrow County
president (O utstanding
County P resident), and
Lisa Rietmann - Federal
Programs/Transportation
Committee chair (Outstand­
ing Committee Chair), were
both acknow ledged for
their outstanding contribu­
tions during 2009.
Rust has serv ed the
Oregon Wheat producers
for a number of years and
will continue her service
in 2010.
Rietmann was hon­
ored for her in-depth par­
ticipation in the delivery
and implementation of the
new Farm Bill. Her insights
were instrumental in assur­
ing the delivery of the pro­
grams was consistent with
congressional intent.
