Junior High Division (odeo
finals.
Garrett Robinson
and Tate Gentry are cur­
rently serving as repre­
sentatives to the NHSRA
Wrangler Division All Star
Rodeo Team, a corporate
sponsored youth rodeo
team. Selection is based
on leadership qualities,
academic eligibility and
athletic achievements dur­
ing the previous year. The
NHSRA Wrangler Division
All Star Rodeo Team is
fashioned after Wrangler's
Champion Pro Rodeo Team.
"We are confident each
member of the team will
be an outstanding goodw ill
ambassador for the sport of
rodeo,” said Jeff Chadwick,
Special Events Manager for
Wrangler Rodeo.

1st in the Boys Breakaway
Roping and 5,h in the Boys
All Around Competition.

4th in the Pole Bending
and 4lh in the Girls' Rookie
standings for her first year
of competition. All three
contestants finished in the
top 10 in the five events
they competed in.

the Wrangler Junior High
Finals is the world's larg­
est junior high rodeo. In
addition to competing for
more the $75,000 in prizes,
WJHFR contestants will
also be vying for more than
$50,000 in college scholar­
ships and the chance to be
named the Wrangler Junior
High Finals Rodeo National
Champion. To earn this
title, contestants must fin­
ish in the top twenty after
two go-rounds o f intense
competition before advanc­
ing on to Saturday’s final
championship performance.
Again, this year, the Sat­
urday championship per­
formance will be televised
nationally as a part of the
"20X Rodeo High" telecast
series.
Local teens to compete in national rodeo competitions
The Intermountain
High School Rodeo Team
competed June 11-13 in
Prineville in the Oregon
High School Rodoe finals.
Both the boys' and girls’
teams won in state com­
petition.
Team member Wil­
ly Gentry earned a position
on the Oregon State High
School rodeo team and will
travel to Farmington, NM
to compete at the National
High School Finals Rodeo
in the Tie Down Roping and
Bull Riding competitions.

The Morrow Coun­
ty Fair is looking for su­
perintendents in crafts and
the fruits and vegetables
departments.
S u p erin ten d en ts
would be needed for Mon­
day and Tuesday o f fair
week. Monday the crafts
department takes entries
from 1-8 p.m. and judg-
ing will be on Tuesday
afternoon. The fruits and
vegetables department wiiL
take entries on Monday,-
4-8 p.m. and Tuesday, 8-10
a.m.; the judging is in the
afternoon.
