Joe and Bonna Rae Miller on their wedding day in 1959.

Joe and Bonna Rae Miller will celebrate their 50,h
wedding anniversary on Saturday, June 13. An open house
buffet reception in their honor will be held from 3-7 p.m.
at the Heppner Elks Club. No gifts, please.
Joe and Bonna Rae were married on June 27,
1959 at the Methodist Church in Lebanon. A reception
was held at the bride’s parent’s home in Albany w ith the
bride’s great-grandparents attending.
The couple lived in Portland with Joe working
for Hyster Company at R&D Technical Center. Bonna
Rae worked at Mayflower Milk Co.
After they started a family, the couple lived in the
Gresham area where Bonna Rae was a stay-at-home mom.
They had three children, Reid, Ray and Ryan.
In 1977, the couple moved to Heppner and started
a welding repair business, which became an excavating
business that is now operated by their youngest son,
Ryan.
Reid and his wife, Sheila (Seiler) Miller live in
Lexington with their children Josie and Jarried.
Ray and his wife, Debbie (Marquardt) Miller
live in Idaho Falls. They have three children: Roxy and
her husband, Chris Strahm, and their children Parker and
Pyper; Kyle and his wife, Bethanie; and Carl Miller.
Ryan and his wife, Sharon, and their son Tyler
live in Heppner.
