The Heppner High

exchange with the students

School. At the beginning
o f March, 11 senior class
members o f David Douglas
arrived with their principle
Mr. Byers and their advisor
Ms. Cauble to experience
the Heppner life.
D uring th e ir stay
they were able to attend
school along with a student
partner. They went through
a whole day and when it
was over the students were
brought down to the Hepp
ner museum to learn a little
bit about Heppner’s history.
And to wrap up the day the
students went to the bowling
alley to enjoy some chow
and have a good time.
Recently, however,
seven student ASB members
went to Portland to attend
school at David Douglas.
While there they we were
able to go to one and a half
days o f the scheduled block
classes, and we were also
able to sit in on various
classes.
HHS students had
the opportunity to eat lunch
with the students and partake
in a typical day o f school
with the students. They were
paired with members o f the
David Douglas ASB who
had come to visit Heppner.
