Students in grades
K-3 had a great time in Mrs.
Halvorsen’s reading incen
tive program known as Elect
To Read @ Your Library.
This program was
based on the am ount o f
m inutes a stu d en t spent
reading. They also received
extra minutes for doing fun
things like making posters
o f “My teacher for Presi
dent,” turning in fun trivia
on past Presidents, naming
Presidents on Mt. Rushmore
and money.
Classes (or teams)
competed against each other
for top minutes. The main
prizes were strictly awarded
on an individual basis, but
there was a prize for the
h ig h est average reading
time. Team members sup
ported one another as it’s
true that together everyone
achieves more.

REALTO R
SHOULD LOAN MONEY TO BUYER?
Should you ever loan the
buyer o f your property money
via a second mortgage to re
duce the size o f his down pay
ment? If you don't need all
o f the cash from your equity
to buy another home, it could
make a lot o f sense.
It stands to reason that w hen
the entire prospective buyer
pool is considered, there are
more buyers with $10,000 to
use as a down payment than
there are buyers with $25,000.
A smaller down payment can
make the home open to a
larger number o f buyers.
An experienced residential
agency like ours can help you
establish a fair market value
for your home and let you
know your equity position.
That is, the amount o f money
you’ll have in hand after the
mortgage is {laid off.
Your
cash position can then form
a basis for evaluating your
financial objectives.
It all depends on how fast
you want to sell your house
and how much you'd like to
get for it.
