Obituaries Willow Creek Symphony and Singers to hold concerts H epp ner G arden C lub new s December is a very busy month for the Heppner Garden Club. A G reen’s Workshop will be held on De cember 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the fair grounds. This workshop will be held after the club makes wreathes, swags, crosses and arrangements for sale. Orders need to be made to Ida Farra at 676-9446 from November 24-28. The public will be able to pick up their orders from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. December 3-5. The Garden Club will hold their regular meeting on December 8 at 7 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Senior Center. Joe and JoAnne Burleson and Peggy Conner will host this meeting. Members are encouraged to bring their Christmas treats for this meeting. The program will be evaluating their annual wreath-making project. Music will be provided by Joe Lindsay. On January 5, a Garden Club meeting will be held at the Senior Center at 1:30 p.m. The Shepard Flat Wind Farm will be discussed. Chuck and Betty Bailey and Mabel Heath will be the hosts. Morrow County Health Department offers free flu vaccine M o rro w C o u n ty Health Department is con ducting a free flu shot clinic today, Wednesday, Novem ber 19, from 4-7 p.m. or until the flu vaccine is gone. The clinic will be held in the Heppner High School caf eteria. The public is asked to use the cafeteria entrance on the south end o f the school building. M o rro w C o u n ty Health Department routinely offers flu shots at the coun ty ’s senior citizen centers and at the MCHD offices in Boardman and Heppner. The additional flu shot clinic offered this year at Heppner H igh School w ill allow M CHD to p ractice th eir emergency mass dispens ing procedures in a location that could accommodate a large num ber o f Heppner area residents if there was ever a future emergency that made this necessary. MCHD is tentatively planning to conduct a free flu clinic late next fall at a north county location, depending on the continuing availability o f free flu vaccine from the Oregon Public Health Divi sion for emergency exercise purposes.
