EN that on Tuesday, November
4, 2008, an election will be
held w ithin the boundaries
o f the lone School District,
Morrow County, Oregon. The
election shall be conducted by
mail pursuant to ORS 254.465.
The following question will be
submitted to the qualified vot­
ers thereof:

Shall lone School District
be authorized to issue general
obligation bonds not exceed­
ing $2,800,000 to expand and
renovate its facilities? If the
bonds are approved, they will
be payable from taxes on prop­
erty or property ownership that
are not subject to the limits of
sections 11 and 11 b, Article XI
o f the Oregon Constitution.
SUMMARY:
If approved, this measure
w ould provide funds to fi­
nance construction, renova­
tion and repair. Specifically,
th is m easu re w ould m ake
improvements including, but
not limited to:
• C o n s t r u c t tw o n e w
classrooms at the elementary
school.
• Repair and improve the
pool and pool deck.
• Replace the high school
gym floor.
• Replace the high school
roof including gym and caf­
eteria.
• Replace the high school
air-quality systems and win­
dows.
• M odernize classroom s
with new technology.
• Pay fees associated with
issuing and administering the
bonds.
This m easure w ould cost
property owners an estimated
average o f $2.43 cents per
$1,000 o f assessed value per
year.
The Bonds would mature in
16 years or less from issuance
date and may be issued in one
or more series.

project located at 100 Court
Street in Heppner, OR. will be
received by the Morrow Coun­
ty Public Works Department, at
365 W. Hwy 74, P.O. Box 428,
Lexington, OR. 97839, by 4:00
p.m. Local time on September
23, 2008. The bids will be
publicly opened and read at
Morrow County Court located
at 100 Court Street in Heppner,
OR. at 9:45 a.m. local time on
September 24, 2008.
The County may reject any
bid not in com pliance with
all prescribed public bidding
procedures and requirements,
and may reject for good cause
any or all bids upon a finding
o f the County that it is in the
public interest to do so. The
bidder must be registered with
the Construction Contractors
Board. BOLI rules and regula­

Work consists of, but may not
be lim ited to, the following
estimated unit cost quantities:
• Provide Necessary build­
ing permits;
• Provide Morrow County
with twenty-year workman­
ship warranty;
• Remove existing roof,
clean area, haul away all de­
bris. All roofing removal and
debris disposal to be done
in accordance with all state,
local, and federal asbestos
abatement regulations;
• Any structural repairs
deemed necessary by building
code or manufacturer warran­
ty standards to be done;
• Install 30 lbs felt;
• Install #1 Cedar Shingles;
• Install custom manufac­
tured edge metal, metal w-
valley, pipe flashing and metal
vents;
• Properly flash all rood
penetrations; and
• Install a Firestone .060
TPO 20 year roof system in
the built in gutters, and on the
flat roof deck in the back of
the courthouse.
• Install and Paint all neces­
sary gutters.
This is a Morrow County
Public Works Project and
funded with Morrow County
funds. A bid bond in the
amount o f 10% o f the bid
amount is required with the
proposal.
Performed
and
Payment Bonds in the amount
o f the contract bid amount will
be required of the successful
bidder.
The County will award
the contract within twenty
(20) calendar days o f the bid
opening. Work will commence
within five (5) calendar days
o f the notice to proceed. The
contractor shall complete all
work required in the contract
within 280 Calendar days of
the stated date in the notice
to proceed. All work must be
completed by whatever Court
decides.
