IMAC to be serving breakfast
IMAC will again be serving breakfast at Stokes
Landing Senior Center starting Saturday, August 30. Break­
fast will be served from 7:30-10:30 a.m.
The Eppenbach family has donated their time to
each breakfast. Volunteer contribution would be appreci­
ated. Anyone that is available to help is asked to contact
Donna Eppenbach at 922-3197 for times and what you
can do to pitch in.

Morrow County Clerk Bobbi Childers has released
the following report o f marriage licenses issued:
-August 26: Cameron Ryan Sweeney, 29, Heppner

DA’s Report
Morrow County District Attorney Elizabeth Bal­
lard has released the following report:
-David Molina, 28, was convicted o f criminal
mischief in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor,
and was sentenced to 30 days incarceration with 30 days
suspended, 12 months bench probation, 20 hours o f com­
munity service, other numerous conditions, and pay $663
in fines, fees, and assessments.
Ladies Play Day results
Ladies Play Day was held on Tuesday, August
26, at the Willow Creek Country Club. Results are as
follows:

Financial Peace University classes
to be offered

20-8 over Spray.

team that should be a pow­
er in the league, Sherman
County. The Lady Cards
played them close, dropping
the game 20-16. “Even some
o f the crowd from Sher­
man County commented on
how well our team played.
1 think the girls surprised
them selves,” said Coach
Eynetich.
“It was a good kick­
off and all in all, the girls
p la y ed a w e so m e ,” said
Eynetich. “We are a young
team and we came together
and played well.”
Golf tournament fundraiser held
for Boardman Senior Center
On August 9 Larry
and Sharon Sample put on
a fundraiser g o lf tourna­
ment to raise funds for the
Boardman Senior Center. It
was a four person scramble
and 47 people showed up to
play golf.
The Boardman Se­
niors furnished the meal
after the tournament. Golf­
ers bought extra tickets for
the more than 60 prizes that
were given away. All the
prizes were donated by local
merchants and a few from
Hermiston and some from
Heppner.

during the noon luncheon,
a check in the amount o f
$2,050 was presented to the
Boardman Senior Center by
Larry and Sharon Sample.
H eppner G arden Club news
The Heppner G ar­
den Club will be meeting
September 8 at 6:30 p.m. at
the Senior Center. The meet­
ing will begin with a potluck
hosted by the officers. The
program will be honoring
the scholarship recipient and
her parents.

vides each year.
Josie is planning on
attending BMCC this fall.
Heppner Garden
Club is active in providing
many services to beautify
the city o f Heppner. It wel­
comes visitors and usually
meets at the St. Pat’s Senior
Center on the first Monday
o f the month.
