Chili cook-off
to be held
A Chili Cook-Off
Contest will be held this
year on Friday, August 15,
at the Morrow County Fair.
All ages are invited to par­
ticipate.
Cooking will begin
at 10 a.m. and judging will
begin at noon. Cash prizes
will be awarded for first,
second and third place win­
ners.
Rule for the compe­
tition are:
-Precook meat of
any kind.
-Presoak beans.
-Fresh ingredients
only. No canned chili or
tomatoes.
-Put together all
ingredients at the contest
site.
-All cookware is
provided by contestant (sil­
verware, BBQ’s, ingredi­
ents, etc.)
-Contestants must
have current food handlers’
card.
-Must cook 4 quarts
or more of chili.
-Recipe display is
optional.
-Judge on taste!
-Fair will provide 3
oz. bowls for sampling.
