The Boardman City Council met in executive
session Tuesday night to discuss City Manager Pro Tern,
Karen Pettigrew. During the regular session the Council
voted unanimously to elev ate Ms. Pettigrew to City Man
ager and authorized Mayor Glenn to negotiate a contract
with her.
Pettigrew has been serv ing as City Manager Pro
Tern for just over six months since former City Manager
Rex Mather retired.
In other City news, the Council approved renew
ing a contract for flag displays with Boy Scout Troop 602
and signing a contract with Tashman Johnson LLC to as
sist the City in preparing a revised Urban Renewal Plan.
The Council approved a liquor license request for the new
owners o f Lynard’s Spud Cellar. Work is continuing on
the Interchange Area Management Plan as well as a tree
planting project on NE and NW Front Streets.
