The Big Sky Tour

this week. As the number
two seed from the Big Sky
East, the Cardinals w ill face
South Wasco County (BS-W

at Umatilla High School.
Friday was Senior
Night as the Cardinal faith
ful took a minute to honor
the seven seniors, Alan Ri
etm ann, Paul Hams, Kip
Krebs, Kevin Fow ler, Justin
Archer, Dalton Cam pbell
and Richard Bohna.
Maybe it was the dis
traction o f Senior Night but
the game started out slowly
and with five minutes gone
in the first quarter, the score
was just 5-4. However, the
Cardinals got fired up thanks
to nine consecutive points
supplied by Alan Rietmann
at the end o f the first and
start o f the second quarters.
Before Helix had time to
catch their breath, they were
down 19-4. A 21-5 second
quarter gave the Cardinals
a 33-9 halftime lead. Things
didn’t get much better for
the Grizzlies in the second
half as the Cardinals romped
to a 69-30 win. A highlight
o f the game was Richard
Bohna, a senior suiting up
for his first varsity appear
ance, hitting two free throws
late in the game to record his
only varsity points. His joy
ous celebration of 100% free
throw shooting delighted
