May 16, 2007 - Voters said no to the County Road Levy by a
vote of 701 “Yes” to 1167 “No”.
August 18, 2007 - The Heppner High School class of 1057 recently held their 50th class reunion
on July 21. The following members were in attendance.

June 13, 2007 - Local sweethearts Nick Christmas and Cara
Kennedy won the East Oregonian's W edding of Your Dreams
competition.
November 7, 2007 - Corps of Engineers plans to give long-term
irrigation contracts for Willow Creek Lake water.
December 12, 2007 - Mayors and city managers gather at the
Morrow County Clerks office Tuesday morning to turn in
signature petitions placing an ordinance on the ballot that, if
passed, would redistribute tippage money from the Morrow
County general fund to individual cities in the county.

December 5, 2007 - The Heppner Mustangs took second in state this past weekend. The Mustangs lost their bid for state champi

March 14, 2007 - Heppner celebrated its first St. Patrick’s Day
celebration 25 years ago. In this photo Eb Hughes and sister

October 10, 2007 - Miller & Sons Excavating purchased Hep
pner Garbage Disposal.
September 5, 2007 - In 1980 local farmers worked to patch
Sand Hollow Road. Currently road crews are working to repair
the road.
October 31, 2007 - Students attending the Umatilla National
Forest Fire and Fuels Orientation Camp performed many tasks
during their week long camp. Among those was a prescribed
burn in which non-commercial thinning was piled up and
burned.
Jills 4. 2007 - Kirk Street Bridge was in bad need of repairs. Neighbors and the city crew stripped off the old timbers on Sunday and put on a brand new surface on Monday.
