Recently, Heppner Elementary School students from Mrs. El-
guezabal’s and Mrs. Stone's reading class had the great fortune
of experiencing the wonderful Christmas display at Randall
and Marlene Peterson’s home. They have been studying holiday
vocabulary and traditions and read many holiday books that
could be used for the accelerated reader program. At the end
of the tour, students delighted in hot cocoa served in a Christ
mas mug and fresh homemade cookies. The children were able
to touch, taste, and feel the true meaning of Christmas. The
students and staff appreciate Mrs. Peterson's patience and
generosity.
