2007 FORECLOSURE LIST ISSUED
BY MORROW COUNTY
The tax collector o f Morrow County, Oregon, has prepared
the following list o f all properties now subject to foreclosure.
This foreclosure list contains the names o f those appearing in
the latest tax rolls as the respective owners o f tax delinquent
properties, a description o f each such property as the same ap
pears in the latest tax rolls, the year or years for which taxes,
special assessments, fees, or other charges are delinquent on
each property, together w ith the principal o f the delinquent
amount o f each year and the amount of accrued and accruing
interest thereon through September 17, 2007.
Please take note that a complete and accurate legal descrip
tion of the properties designated by the tax lot numbers on the
attached list is made a part of the application as Exhibit A for
judgment, filed in the Morrow County Circuit Court and avail
able at the Morrow County Trial Court Clerk’s Office. Note also,
that more particular descriptions are available at the office of
the Morrow County Assessor/Tax Collector.
TO ALL PERSONS OR PARTIES ABOVE-NAMED, and to
all persons owning or claiming to own, or having or claiming
to have, any interest in any property included in the foreclo
sure list above set forth, being the Morrow County 2007 tax
foreclosure list:
YOU ARE HEREBY REQUIRED TO TAKE NOTICE that
Morrow County, Oregon, has filed in the Circuit Court o f the
State o f Oregon for Morrow County, an application to foreclose
the lien of all taxes shown on the 2007 Morrow County tax
foreclosure list above set forth, and that Morrow County, as
plaintiff, w ill apply to the court for judgment foreclosing such
tax liens not less than thirty (30) days from the date o f the first
publication of this notice.
And any and all persons interested in any o f the real prop
erty included in this foreclosure list are required to file answer
and defense, if any there be, to such application for judgment
w ithin thirty (30) days from the date o f the first publication
of this notice, which date is, August 27, 2007. Notice o f this
foreclosure is given under ORS 312.040 (1) and (1) publication
of the foregoing foreclosure list in the Heppner Gazette Times,
a weekly new spaper o f general circulation in Morrow County,
Oregon. This notice is pursuant to an order of the County Court
for Morrow County, Oregon made and entered on the day of
July 11, 2007. The date of publication of this foreclosure list
is August 27, 2007.

Access and Habitat Program to help fund pheasant
habitat improvements on private lands

teau Pheasants Forever and
the M orrow County Soil and
W ater C onservation District
a $145,500 grant to hire a
habitat specialist for three
y e a rs to help lan d o w n e rs
im prove pheasant and other
upland bird habitat on their
properties. The habitat spe
cialist is expected to be hired
by Septem ber.
M orrow C ounty is a
m ajor destination for pheas
ant hunters. However, pheas
ant populations in Morrow
C o u n ty and s u rro u n d in g
areas have been d eclin in g
partially due to m ore effi
cient farm ing m ethods that
leave less food and co v e r
b eh in d for p h e a sa n ts and
other upland birds and now
result in few er hunting op
portunities.
The habitat special
ist will work with landow n
ers in Morrow and G illiam
counties to develop upland
bird habitat projects on pri
vate lands, provide technical
advice as well as assist in
o btaining funding, m ateri
als, eq u ip m e n t and labor.
Typical p ro jects m ight in
clude planting grasses, trees
and shrubs, w eed co n tro l,
and controlled burns.

and help w ith the w orkload,”

ers will see direct benefits

is im proved and p h easan t
and other upland gam e bird
num bers increase.
T he A& H Program
is funded by a $2 surcharge
on hunting licenses. Funds
raised by the program are
d istrib u te d th ro u g h gran ts
to individual and corporate
la n d o w n e rs, c o n s e rv a tio n
organizations and others for
cooperative w ildlife habitat
im p ro v e m e n t an d h u n te r
access p ro jects throughout
the state.
