Help students succeed
August is National Back-To-School Month and
parents everywhere are busy helping their children pre
pare for school. Unfortunately, many families are unable
to afford the basic supplies every child needs to start the
school year off on the right foot. A tradition o f donating
new school supplies was started by Klamath First Bank and
Heppner Nazarene Church. The last few years Mary Ann
Elguezabal has carried out that tradition. The following is
a list o f items that all children need to succeed:
#2 pencils, colored pencils, crayons, erasers, com
passes, notebook paper, folders with pockets, rulers, scis
sors, protractors, glue sticks, white glue, 3-ring binders,
basic calculators, and backpacks.
Donations may be dropped off at Heppner Elemen
tary School or call Mary Ann at 676-5774 and she can pick
up the items. A financial contribution is also appreciated.
