Sheriff’s Office reports han­
dling the following busi­
ness:
June 19: MCSO re­
ceived report o f eight teen­
age boys running through
back yards headed toward
Idaho St. in Irrigon.

report o f stuffed anim als
and clothing on Highway
730 between Irrigon and
Umatilla causing a hazard.
ODOT and Umatilla Police
D epartm ent advised that
they didn’t have anyone on
duty. MCSO deputy checked
the area and discovered no
hazard, just a few clothes
and stuffed animals on the
side o f the road.

report o f a “weird sound”
outside and to the rear of
a Heppner residence. The
subject said it sounded like
a hurt bird.
-MCSO received re­
port of a found Yorkie-type
dog at an Irrigon residence.
The reporter advised she
would take it to the Humane
Society later that day if no
one claimed it.

report o f a mean pit bull in
the driveway o f an Irrigon
residence. The dog would
not let the subjects get out
o f the car. Manuel Gutierrez
was cited for Dog at Large.

lice D epartm ent arrested
Doug Duane Jones, 29, on
M orrow C ounty C ircu it
Court warrant for Failure
to A ppear/P ossession o f
Methamphetamine. He was
also arrested on an Irrigon
Justice Court warrant for
FTA/Criminal Trespass II.
He was lodged at Umatilla
County Jail.

Mayor that a peddler with­
out a license was on Union
Street. He advised MCSO
that he would handle it.

Ambulance received report
that a woman hit a deer on
1-84 near Boardman. The
woman sustained minor in­
juries due to flying glass; the
accident was non-blocking
and the deer was dead.
-MCSO received re­
port o f two pistol shots on
the 600 block o f Wilson or
Mt. Hood streets or possibly
at a tavern. Nothing out o f
the ordinary was discov­
ered.

report o f neighbors riding
four-wheelers up the road on
Division St. in Irrigon.

report o f a six-year-old at­
tacked by a bull M astiff/
pit bull on Gun Club Lane
in Hermiston. The victim
was receiving care at Good
Shepherd Community Hos­
pital.

Nolen Brice Brock, 47, on
a Umatilla County Circuit
Court warrant for Failure
to Appear/Possession o f a
Controlled Substance II.

Department officer conduct­
ed several field interviews-a
man in a vehicle parked on
Front Street in Boardman
who was determined to be
taking a nap; a subject at
the Chevron Station; two
subjects in dark clothing; a
female walking home from
work; and additional suspi­
cious subjects.
-BPD received re­
port from The Dalles PD
concerning a possible sui­
cidal juvenile. BPD officer
checked both rest areas for
the vehicle and the subject
and was unable to locate
anything.
-BPD received re­
port o f an open-line 911 call.
The call was traced to PGE;
PGE w as co n tacted and
reported no emergency and
everyone accounted for.
-Boardman Ambu­
lance received report o f a
22-year-old non-pregnant
female with bleeding. The
subject was transported.
-Irrig o n A m b u ­
lance received report o f a
nine-month-old choking on
plastic. She later advised
that he was conscious and
breathing, cooing and bab­
bling and did not need an
ambulance.
-H e p p n e r A m b u ­
lance received report o f a
66-year-old female with a
shunt in her head vomiting.
She was transported.
June 20: MCSO re­
ceived report o f two ve­
hicles, one pickup and one
car, going into Les Schwab,
spinning tires and driving
erratically. Deputy was un­
able to locate anything.

checked out a vehicle on
1-84 Patterson Ferry Rd.
The driver was only talking
a nap.
-MCSO deputy ad­
vised he was out with two
vehicles, possibly with car
trouble. The vehicle was
okay, just leaving.
-MCSO received re­
port from the Irrigon Medi­
cal Clinic that a male sub­
je ct came into the clinic
and m ade in a p p ro p riate
remarks.
-M C SO re c e iv e d
report o f a semi tailgating
several vehicles on 1-84
near Boardman. No deputy
was in position. OSP was
advised.
-MCSO, Boardman
Ambulance received report
that an 85-year-old female
had fallen and suffered a
possible hip or leg injury. A
nurse was on the scene.
-MCSO received re­
port from an office in Hep­
pner that a suspicious male
subject had been sleeping
in a trailer and parking at
the office. The subject told
the deputy that he lives in
Arlington and makes medi­
cal supply deliveries to the
medical office. He said he
was just taking a nap.
-MCSO received re­
port of a badger underneath
a vehicle at the clinic in
Heppner. The badger was
removed.
-MCSO arrested An­
drew Scott Gomez on an
Irrigon Justice Court war­
rant for Failure to Pay Fine/
Driving While Suspended.
There was also a hold for a
Gilliam County warrant. She
was transported to Umatilla
County Jail.
-MCSO arrested Jer­
ry Lloyd Olson for Driving
While Suspended m isde­
meanor. He was cited and
released.

report o f a group o f young
adults selling magazine and
acting strange in Cecil.
-MCSO received re­
port o f a vicious pit bull that
cornered a woman in Board-
man. The dog then went
after some juveniles.
-M C S O re c e iv e d
report a vehicle partially
blocking Highway 207 near
Lexington. It was a non-in­
jury motor vehicle accident.
The vehicle hit a deer and a
tow was en route.
-MCSO received re­
port o f windows broken on
two vehicles in lone. Two
juvenile girls admitted to
the damage and the private
parties will handle it them­
selves.
-MCSO received re­
port o f theft and burglary
on Forest Service Rd. 21,
Heppner.
-MCSO received re­
port o f loud music and kids
yelling on Second St. and
Wyoming in Irrigon.

The subject said he just got
off work and was cooling
down.
-BPD received re­
port of injured animals. Two
baby birds were found and
taken to Vector Control.
-Boardman Am bu­
lance received report o f a
36-year-old unconscious fe­
male with labored breathing.
She was transported to Pio­
neer Memorial Hospital.
June 21: MCSO dep­
uty reported he was assisting
Boardman Police Depart­
ment officer attempting to
overtake a vehicle doing 96
mph on 1-84 west. Amanda
Lou Smith, 22, was cited
for Violation o f the Speed
Limit doing 96 mph in a 65
mph zone.
-MCSO received re­
port from a deputy who was
out with a vehicle on 1-84 in
a weird spot. The occupants
o f the vehicle were deter­
mined to be camping by the
river and the vehicle was
well off the road.
-MCSO received re­
port o f a horse in very bad
health in Irrigon. Owners
were warned that they had to
put the horse down that day.
The horse was put down.

completely blocked by trees
that had been felled near
Boardman.

cited for Possession of Less

vehicle was impounded.

Sidney Zinter, 24, for Fail­
ure to Register Vehicle and
warned for Failure to Carry
Proof o f Insurance and Fail­
ure to Maintain Lane.

report from a B oardm an
woman that a white Nubian
goat showed up on her prop­
erty. She said she would take
care o f it until somebody
claims it.
-M C SO , BPD re ­
ceived report o f a fight in
progress in Irrigon with
several males attacking the
c a lle r’s son. The a ssa il­
ants left in a gray Chevy
pickup. It was determined
to be a verbal dispute with
both parties pushing and
shoving each other but no
punches thrown. Both par­
ties were throwing rocks at
each other, but no injuries
occurred.
-MCSO received re­
port of a dog barking non­
stop in Heppner.
-BPD received re­
port o f a window broken
out o f a car with a rock. The
parties have agreed to settle
the situation civilly.
-BPD officer report­
ed that he was attempting
to overtake a vehicle at 81
mph near Irrigon. Amanda
Rae Mack, 19, was cited for
VBR 81 mph in a 55 mph
zone.
-BPD officer report­
ed he was out with a group
ofjuveniles playing football
in the middle o f the street.
-Boardman Fire De­
partment responded to a fire
at a Boardman address. The
subjects were advised to put
the fire out as the bum ban
was in effect.
-Boardman A m bu­
lance received report o f an
elderly male shaking and
vom iting. He was tra n s­
ported to Good Shepherd
Hospital
J u n e 22: -M C SO
received a fire call regarding
a smell o f an electrical fire.
Irrigon FD responded.
-MCSO deputy was
out with three juveniles. The
deputy advised the ju v e ­
niles they need to return to
their homes. The juveniles
advised they were on their
way home.
-M C SO and BPD
received a report that an
officer was enroute to the
North Shell in Boardman
regarding a stolen vehicle.
The vehicle was located by
the Hermiston PD.
-MCSO received a
report about a coyote that
was hit by a car and was
still alive. D ispatch was
needed.

-MCSO was advised
by UCSO that a M CSO
deputy was going 85-90
without lights or sirens.

a report that two pieces
o f equipment from Windy
River Farms are too big. The
tractors pulling the equip­
ment advised they will park
and get a supervisor to come
flag the equipment.
-MCSO issued a ci­
tation to Edgar Adan Godi­
nez, 24, for making an un­
safe pass on the left.
-MCSO issued a ci­
tation to Karen M itchell,
51, for failing to register
vehicle.
-MCSO received a
report that the reporter stated
she gave a vehicle to a male
subject on May 13, 07, and
he told her that she would
have her vehicle in three to
four days. The reporter has
not heard from him since.
-MCSO received a
report about a stolen bike
in Irrigon.
-MCSO received a
report that the reporter from
Irrigon came home to find
the door open and stuff all
over. A DVD player, MP3,
PC and guitars were missing
from the home.
-MCSO received a
report that two males were
going door to door selling
books and m agazines to
people in town. The people
in town were calling city
hall about it. The reporter
advised they have no ped­
dlers license.
-MCSO responded
to a nine day old infant
who was not breathing. The
infant was transported to
Good Shepherd Hospital.
-MCSO received a
report that there was a small
fire at the post office in Ir-

The accident involved a
pick-up that rear-ended a
semi truck.

tation to Wayne Bradley
Schwabrow, for violating
the basic rule by going 74
mph in a 45 mph zone and
for Driving while Suspend­
ed.
-BPD received a re­
port o f a suspicious person
wearing a flannel coat walk­
ing behind the fire station in
Boardman.
-Irrigon Ambulance
assisted an 82-year-old male
who was com plaining o f
severe abdominal pain.
-Boardman Ambu­
lance reported a silver car
speeding in excess o f 85
mph.
J u n e 23: -M CSO
received a report that there
were a couple o f people in
the state park in Irrigon.
The reporter advised the
juveniles looked like they
were going to run from the
deputy.
-MCSO received a
report that a male subject
came up to the reporter’s
residence asking for water
for his car. The reporter
did not know who it was
and requested deputy as­
sistance. The male’s car was
overheated and he received
water.
-MCSO issued a ci­
tation to Bertalicia Martinez
Madrigal, 41, for violating
the basic rule by going 72
mph in a 55 mph zone.
-MCSO issued a ci­
tatio n to L arry D w ayne
Fussell, 66, for violating the
basic rule by going 74 mph
in a 55 mph zone.
Heppner Day­
care and Pre­
school to offer
extended hours
this fall
The Heppner Day­
care and Preschool w ill
offer extended hours, from
7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday
through Friday, effective
September 4.
T he a fte r-s c h o o l
program , the C olt C lub,
will continue with p ick ­
up services from Heppner
Elementary School to the
club headquarters at Hepp­
ner Daycare until 5:30 p.m.
Monday through Thursday.
Colt Club rates are in ef­
fect until 5:30 p.m. for all
children from kindergarten
on up. After 5:30 p.m., the
day care rate will apply. On
Fridays, Colt Club will be
from I-4 p.m.
