Heppner Gazette-Times, Heppner, Oregon Wednesday, April 4,2007 - THREE Sheriff's Report The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office reports han­ dling the following business: M ar. 7: -M C SO a rre sted B illie C h arles Kimberlein Jr., 36, for failing to pay fine for harassment. -MCSO received a report that a male subject was harassing a city worker. -MCSO received a report that a reporter’s son found a syringe by a creek in H eppner. A deputy responded and took care of the situation. -MCSO received a report o f a break-in at a business in Irrigon. -MCSO deputy was out with four juveniles. They advised the deputy they were just visiting. -M CSO advised a resident that he had too many vehicles. The subject was attempting to sell them. He advised he will scrap them if he doesn’t. -MCSO received a report that a resident was on the borderline for having too many cows. The resident advised he is going to sell 10 of them. -MCSO received a report about a dog harassing other dogs. -M C SO a ssisted Heppner Ambulance with a male who had fallen and was having tro u b le stay in g awake. He had scratches and a lump on the back of his head. -M C SO and BPD received a report about a v eh icle that was not maintaining its lane. -MCSO received a rep o rt that a dog had attacked the reporter’s dog and now the reporter feared the dog would attack her. -MCSO received a report that som eone was driving on the new baseball field at the high school in Irrigon. -MCSO received a report of a possible runaway juvenile in Irrigon. -MCSO received a report that Brookings PD arrested Epifano Itehuasalas, 31, for failing to appear for driving while suspended. -MCSO received a report that a semi in a ditch with his lights on. -MCSO received a report that O SP arrested M arcus Eric Jim, 45, for failing to appear for driving while suspended. -B PD re c eiv e d a report that a vehicle had its lights on and the door was u n lo ck ed . The re p o rte r called the ow ner and the owner went outside and shut the lights off. -B PD issued a citation to Dee Edward Ellis, 39, for no operating license. -B PD re c eiv e d a rep o rt that a rep o rted n o ticed an 8 0 -y ear-o ld female across the fence was wandering around the area. The reporter was worried that she was having some kind of memory problem. -B PD re ceiv ed a report that a reporter saw two juvenile males beating up a n o th er m ale. The juveniles scattered when the reporter shone her lights on them. -B PD issued a citation to Jam es Manuel Trujillo, 36, for failing to yield when entering a road and an open container. -B PD issued a citation to Rafael Cortez, 51, for failing to obey a traffic control device and no proof of insurance. - H e p p n e r Ambulance assisted a female who was com plaining of shortness of breath. 8: -M C SO assisted Irrigon Ambulance with an 80-year-old male who had difficulty breathing and has asthma. -MCSO received a request for extra patrol in an area in Irrig o n a fte r a reporter stated she heard bumps on her house. -M C SO and BPD and Boardman FD received a report that there was a tree on fire. -MCSO came upon a horse in the middle of the road. T he d eputy m ade contact with the owner and the horse was put back into the pasture. -MCSO received a report that someone broke into a store in lone and took the register. A rock went through the window and the front door was broken. -M CSO arrested a juvenile for going 153 mph in a 65 mph zone, reckless driving. -MCSO received a report from a subject who said her neighbor’s cows were in her drivew ay. A deputy contacted the owner of the ranch and advised of the cattle out. The owner advised to repair the fence and take care of the problem. -MCSO received a report that a city w orker found a bag phone and would like a deputy to pick it up. S h e riff’s O ffice arrested Leon Thomas May, 51, on a M orrow C ounty C ircu it warrant and an IJC warrant. -M C SO had a reporter come into the SO to report a chain saw stolen. -MCSO received a re p o rt th at som eone transferred $3,200 into her account in Boardman. The bank alerted her about it. She cancelled her other card and received a new bill. She still felt that a police report was needed just in case. -M C SO a ssisted BPD on a dispute. -MCSO received a call from a reporter who advised he and his son were in a dispute. The reporter requested deputy response before it became physical. -M C SO issu ed a c ita tio n to A dan A. Castaneda Chavez, 36, for violating the speed limit by going 83 mph in a 65 mph zone. -B PD issu ed a citation to Juan A ntonio Lemus Garcia, 25, for failing to obey a traffic control device. -B PD re c eiv e d a report that tools were found near the potato sheds in Boardman. -Irrig o n FD responded to a leaf fire near the fire station. The fire was put out. - B o a r d m a n A m bulance transported a 13-year-old m ale, w ho flipped on his bike, to Good Shepherd Hospital. M a r. M a r c h 9: -MCSO received a report that a skate park em ployee’s bike had been stolen. -MCSO received a report of a neighbor’s dog try in g to get the complainant’s chickens. -M CSO received a report of a Chevy extended cab pickup stuck in the snow near Wineland Lake. -MCSO received a report of a purse theft. The re p o rte r said the purse contained $ 1,700 and heavy narcotic drugs. R eporter came home and noticed her front door was open and the purse was gone. -M C SO d ep u ty reports finding wallet debris in the road including Oregon ID card and SS card. -MCSO received a report of juveniles making some noise, the reporter was unsure if there was a fight; there were no weapons that co u ld be seen. M CSO responded. Family issue was resolved. -M C SO issu ed a citation to David Eugene Robie, 52. -M C SO arre sted Clyde Leon Reed Jr. for failure to pay fine and driving while suspended violation. -MCSO received a report of a small vehicle with one h ead lig h t and one occupant prowling around. -B PD receiv ed a report from a female subject stating an audible alarm could be heard from BMCC. Determined to be a janitor that had entered the wrong code. -B PD receiv ed a report that a Hispanic male in a white Ford pickup was passing back and forth at a high speed and y ellin g things. -BPD received a call from a female subject that was calling on her cousin’s behalf due to the language barrier. She stated they were receiving phone calls that were rude and threatening. The call was transferred to Umatilla. -B PD re c eiv e d a report from an o ff duty officer who advised there was a white Mercury driving all over the road going speed from 30 -5 0 m ph. BPD responded. A young driver was just learning. Officer told them to switch drivers. - H e p p n e r A m bulance responded to Good Shepherd Hospital to pick up a patient. - H e p p n e r A m b u lan ce re c eiv e d a medical call. Transported to Pioneer Memorial Hospital.
