Holly Rebekah Lodge raffle
winners announced
(L-R): Marlene Gray, Nina Harshman and Virginia Peck.
(L-R): Marlene Gray, Steve Lankford and Virginia Peck.
The members of Holly Rebekah Lodge. Lexington,
spent the months of November, December and January
selling raffle tickets to raise money to help the family of
Emma Clemens with medical expenses. Emma, the daughter
of Jim and Susan Clemens of Hermiston, and granddaughter
of Mike and Marlene Gray of lone and Mr. and Mrs. Terry
Cove of Hermiston, has been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis.
As a community service project, the lodge members
donated kitchen and bathroom items for two baskets. The
winners’ names were drawn at the Heppner Chamber of
Commerce Town and Country Banquet in January. The
winner of the kitchen basket was Steve Lankford, and Nina
Harshman won the bathroom basket.
The family has just been told that Emma would
benefit from an inhaler and the cost of that is $1,600 per
month. Over $4000 was raised and an account is still open
at the Bank of Eastern Oregon for anyone that still wishes
to make a donation.
THANK
YOU
On behalf of the Don McEUigott family I would tike to
take this opportunity to express our gratitude for all
who help during our beloved father and husband’s ill

missed.
I would like to thank the lone and Heppner EMTs: Harvey,
Rusty, Carl and Delia for their prompt response, The
Pioneer Memorial Hospital nursing staff: Jaymie, Pennie,
Sheryl, Mindy, Laura, Cindy, Teresa, Verna, Rosa, Marie,
Robanai and Donna for all their care and compassion
extended to Don and our family during his illness. To
Chris and Sally for the nourishing meals. To Sheridan
for your understanding. To Molly for your care and ad
vice. To Dr. Kenneth Wenberg for help making difficult
decisions easier. To Debbie, Delia, and Staci for your
unending support, fielding calls and delivering messages.
To administration and entire staff of Morrow County
Health District for the kind words and consideration
given to us. To Delia Robinson and Betty Hickerson for
the food for the family during his stay. To Tom McEUigott,
Pennie Miller, Randy and Bernice Lott for your daily vis

his spiritual support and his immediate response when
called. To Pat and Trish Sweeney for their advice and
assistance. To Ann and John Murray for their concern
and numerous acts of kindness. To those who sent flow

derful people who helped with the funeral reception.
Don loved this community and all that it stands for and
at difficult times like this it is easy to understand why.
You will all be in our thoughts and prayers.
