Oct. 13. the lone High School football and volleyball teams celebrated their homecoming. lone hosted the Sherman County Huskies. At halftime, the homecoming court was introduced. Prince Richard Bohna and Crown Bearers Sydney Payant and Logan Burright. Friday's game capped off a Spirit Week filled with exciting events. The class competitions included a tug-of- war. volleyball match, cheese puff toss and a donut wheelbarrow race, all of w hich took place during the daily pep assemblies. Thursday's assembly also featured several of the male staff members competing in a beauty pageant. Dale "Dalia" Holland was chosen the winner by crowd applause. The dress up days during the week included Pajama Day. Rock Star Day. Dress Like Your Parent Day and Cardinal Pride Day. On Wednesday night. Oct. 11. the girls held their annual Powder Puff football game and the boys had their Macho Man volleyball game. Thursday included a spaghetti feed and the traditional bonfire where the students cheered the night away. After very hard fought, close games by both the girls and the boys, everyone was ready for the Homecoming Dance at the Legion Hall.
