The Foun dation is very fortunate to re ceive the much-needed labor, auction items, and monetary contributions for this annual event. Without the commitment of so many volunteers, this fun- filled evening would not be pos sible. Again, thank you to every one who helped in making this event successful. lone Education Foundation Board __________________ 9-27- 1c The children o f Jane McRoberts would like to ex press our deep appreciation for the cards of sympathy, flowers, prayers and the joyful memo ries that you shared with us as we grieve the death of our mother. George Naims, Buck Estes, and Robyn Curtis __________________ 9-27-lc On Sunday, Sept. 10, my wife, Cindy, and I hiked to Heppner along with some 1,998 others in the Cycle Oregon troupe. I, along with everyone 1 talked to would like to thank everyone involved in greeting us, and making us feel so proud to have such a beautiful rural town in which we could liter ally “take over” for 24 hours. Heppner is always a well-kept and clean community, but for some reason there was a little sparkly halo surrounding ev erything. It was great! This was my seventh Cycle Oregon, and though each year we travel a different route, it was a special treat to travel many of the roads I had spent so many hours on. The weather was great this year, and even though we had to change our route due to snow on Tollgate, I have to say this was one of the most memorable of all for me. Again, thank you, Heppner. and a special thanks to Sandy Matthews for the picture (I for got to bring my camera). Gaylin Fickel and Cindy Kirkpatrick __________________ 9-27-lc Heppner Elementary Parent Teacher Club would like to thank the following people in all their efforts with the Cycle Oregon entertainment: James and Patti Pappas, Steven Brudevold, Kay and Dave Fowler, Mary Morehouse. Jes sica Conner, Chad Robie, Deanna Thom pson, John Nelson, Ken Bailey, the Nelson kid gang, and anyone else that I may have forgotten. The Par ent Teacher Club is truly blessed to have these people involved in our group. Thanks again. Alita Nelson PTC President 9 -2 7 -lc 1 want to tell the community of Heppner thank you. Jack and D eanna Thom pson, Mary Morehouse, Barb and Terry M oore, Kathy and Andre Meyer, and of course, my par ents and husband. If 1 have for gotten someone, 1 am so sorry. But, again, thank you for the great food, flowers and phone calls. 1 am doing better thanks to all of you and this great com munity.
