Engagement
Proctor-Keyes
Joshua Keyes and Josie Proctor
Josie June Proctor and Joshua Adam Keyes, of
Portland, wish to announce their engagement to each
other.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Mike and Kay
Proctor of Heppner. She graduated from Heppner High
School and graduated from Portland State University in
2006 with a degree in anthropology. She is currently
employed at Riverside Athletic Club and Ringside Steak
House.
The groom-elect is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Thomas
Rheuben of Sisters. He graduated from Sisters High
School and attended OHSU in Portland. He is currently
employed with AMR as a paramedic.
The couple plans an Oct. 14, 2006 wedding in
Los Cabos, Mexico.
There will be an open house engagement
celebration on Saturday. Sept. 23, beginning at 1 p.m. at
the Proctors house in Heppner.
Planning session for Wee Bit O’
Ireland to be held
A planning session to gather fresh ideas and new
volunteers for the Wee Bit O' Ireland festivities to be held
St. Patrick's Day weekend will be held Tuesday, Sept. 19
at 4 p.m.. at City Hall in Heppner. Everyone is invited to
attend and encouraged to bring any ideas.
SPRUCE LANE TO BE
ONE WAY STREET ONLY
This is to notify you that as of September 28, 2006.
Spruce Lane in Heppner will no longer be a two way
street. After due consideration of several traffic issues
with this street including road width, guard rail and
drainage which were brought to our attention at the
spring Morrow County Road Committee meeting that
was held May 1. 2006, we have concluded that the
best and most affordable correction to the problems
is a re-designation of Spruce Lane as a one way street.
This plan was reviewed and approved by the Morrow
County Court at its August 16 meeting in Heppner.
Spruce Lane will upon posting on September
28,2006, be a one way street going SOUTH or
UP THE HILL to the Heppner High School.
We sincerely hope that any inconvenience to the
motoring public will be offset by the increased safety.
This will allow a pedestrian and bike lane as well as
the installation of new guard rail.
We encourage people to begin planning on the re
designation now in order to minimize any confusion
on September 28. 2006 when it is officially posted.
