Boardman
Biofuels and a look
at the local dairy industry
will be part of the agenda as

Boardman Sept. 6-7.
On day one of the
two-day meeting, the 10-
member board will be given
a presentation on Three-Mile
Canyon Farms, a large dairy
o p e ra tio n in M orrow
County. Also on the morning
agenda is a presentation on
on-farm biofuels production
by local grow ers and an
update on the O regon
Department of Agriculture’s
weed-free forage program.
The board w ill to u r the
nearby Port of Morrow in
the afternoon.
On day tw o, the
board will receive an update
on PURS- the Pesticide Use
Reporting System that is
expected to be operational in
2007. The m eeting w ill
conclude with reports by
ODA Director Katy Coba
and board subcommittees on
land use and water issues,

technology and marketing. A
public comment period is
scheduled for day two of the
meeting at 11 a.m.

resume on Thursday, Sept. 7
