Water main break affects some
Lexington families
To the Editor:
O ngoing saga o f
Lexington-
Many of you are not
aware there was a serious
break in the new water main
in one portion of town last
week. It left at least two
fa m ilie s and the road
department without water
for two days. Our mayor did
not answer her phone and
not one council member had
the courtesy to contact them
(at least one of them) to see
if they could help them find
an alternate source of water

or help fix the problem .
Thanks to friends they were
supplied with w ater and
managed to get by. It would
have been nice if they would
have been offered a night in
a m otel since the to w n ’s
liability insurance probably
would have paid for it. They
were given a few bottles of
water by the maintenance
man that the tow n had
p u rch ased
fo r
tow n
employees to drink.
The council should
have a little more concern
and co m p assio n for the
residents of their town.
By the way, we were
not the family that had no
water.
