Beatnik Blues Band to
perform
The Beatnik Blues Band
The Beatnik Blues Band was conceived outside of a
Eugene blues club. Local Heppnerites Kevin Drake and Jeff
Currin had a chance encounter with lead singer/electric harp
phenomenon Mac Hines. After a few practices, the band
enlisted the help of percussionist Don Elkington.
The Beatnik Blues Band frequently performs at
venues in the Eugene/Corvallis area, creating a unique sound
consisting of hybrid cover tunes, originals, and blues classics,
from mellow to mind blowing... bold to funk. The Beatnik
Blues Band always provides something to groove to.
Everyone is invited to the Fair Friday night before
the rodeo (5:30 p.m.) to listen to Kevin and Jeff perform
with Beatnik Blues Band.
