Tolar joins the National Association
of Charitable Photographers
It is our pleasure to
announce the acceptance of
Amy T olar, o w n e r o f
Shooting Star Photography,
into our organization, the
N ational A sso ciatio n of
Charitable Photographers.
Tolar is joining the ranks of
fellow
NAOCP
Professionals in offering her
serv ice to co m m unity
hospitals, hospices and other
organizations with families
of terminal patients, as well
as fa m ilie s a ffe cted by
military deploym ents and
adoptions.
We invite you to visit
T o la r’s
w ebsite
at
www.shootingstarphoto.info.
T olar has used
photography as a creative
outlet most of her life and
established Shooting Star
Photography in 2004. The
transition to becom ing a
professional photographer
was a natural choice. Tolar’s
photography style revolves
around life- real life. It is
non-traditional and relaxed
and she strives to create
images that are unique and
evoke emotion.
“ For me, being a
photographer is more than
perfecting my craft, it is
providing beautiful, heartfelt
images that capture the true
spirit of my subject. With my
camera, I take pictures, hut
with my creativity, heart and
soul, I feel them.”
The d ecisio n to
becom e a m em ber o f
NAOCP was an instinctive
one for Tolar. “ At some
point, every person’s life is
touched and affected by a
tragedy. For me, the death
o f my grandfather, when I
was 16 affected me deeply.
It was only as an adult, when
1 had my own children that 1
realized the importance of
the few photographs 1 had
o f my g ran d fath er and I
together. By jo in in g the
NAOCP, 1 hope to provide
a serv ice that w ill be
treasured for generations.”
Tolar's NAOCP sessions are
conducted with integrity,
compassion and empathy.
T olar w orks on
