work on bating cage at George Waterland field.
September 21 - BEO adds second story to operations
center.
April 20 - Laminated beam company considers Heppner
for new manufacturing plant location.
March 23 - Heppner students paint mural as part of the
Artists in Residence program.
November 23 - Demolition of the old Gazette Times
building begins; Public Works director Bruce Nelson uses
a backhoe to begin tearing down the old building.
February 2 - lone begins Park improvement project lone
Maintenance Supervisor Steve Dumler works preparing
park improvements.
January 19 - Mark Bruno sworn in as new city Mayor by
City Manager Melissa Ross.
October 19 - Valerie Doherty (right) being sworn in as
Mayor of Lexington by recorder Nicki Clement.
August 24 - Dedication of the Robert Walton mural on the
Ag Museum.
April 20 - Heppner math teacher, David Melville with
Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld.

highlights Robert Opera House. Sarah Carlson of lone
played Anna Matilda Minert Natten and dazzled the
crowd with both her singing and orchestra performances.

County Fair and Rodeo Court.
