DA’s report
D aniel Jam es D rum m ond was co n v icted of
Contempt of Court/Punitive. Drummond was sentenced
to 90 suspended days in jail, one-year probation and
payment of $376 in fines and fees.
Shilo Rene Ziemer was convicted of Possession of
a Controlled Substance - Methamphetamine. Ziemer was
sentenced to 18 months probation, 80 hours of community
service, drug treatment/education and $671 in fines and
fees.
Mario Calvillo Ramirez was convicted of Failure
to Register M isdemeanor Sex Offender. Ramirez was
sentenced to 176 suspended days in jail, credit for four
days already served, probation for 24 months, register as a
sex offender and pay all supervision fees, fines assessments
or costs during the period of probation.
Kimberly Carter was convicted of Improper Use
of 911. Carter was sentenced to 180 suspended days in
jail, 20 hours of community service, bench probation for
12 months, report to the Sheriff’s office for fingerprinting
and $631 in fines and fees.
Ramel Rodriguez was convicted of Assault 4 and
Recklessly Endangering Another. Rodriguez was sentenced
to 180 suspended days in jail, 40 hours of community
service, 24 months probation, enroll in anger manage’m ent,
$ 1,125 in fines and fees, pay restitution of $399, complete
Batterer’s Intervention Program, and have no contact with
the victim.

6th, 7lh or 8lh grade during the
normal 2005-2006 school
year preceding June 30,
2006.
Essays must
be submitted to your school
office by Monday, January 9,
2006. Essay length is not to
exceed 250, words. Essay
must be typed or legibly
printed in ink. Entrant must
be identified on essay by
name, home address, grade,

was open to all members/

Basin Electric Co-Op. The
winners were announced at
the CBEC annual dinner
meeting held in Fossil on
Thursday night, with the
winning photos on display.
The contest consists of two
categories - photos with
people/animals, and photos
of landscapes/other. Each
en try m ust have som e
elem en t o f e le c tric a l
infrastructure in it and have
been taken on the C.B.E.C.
serv ice territo ry . T hree
places are awarded in each
category, with $50, $35, and
$15 prizes accordingly.
