Cardinal “A” team falls to Condon

The lone Middle School girls’ “A” team traveled
to Condon on Friday, Jan. 28 to take on the Condon
Demons
In the first quarter, the Cardinals had scored two
points and the Demons scored five In the second quarter,
the Demons outscored the Cards 8-0, lengthening their lead
to 11 and by halftime the score was 2-13.
In the third quarter, lone scored four points, but
Condon scored 12 points By the end o f the game, the
Demons had lengthened their lead and the final score ended
up 10-29.
The scoring was very evenly balanced with Tiana
Camarillo, Beka DesBouillons, Tyree Svetich, Tori Heagy
and Beth Morter each scoring two points.
“We matched up better with Condon this time, but
we were unable to hold off their second and third quarter
runs against us,” said Coach Lynn Dee Ramos. “We played
hard on defense, but our ability to shoot the ball really hurt
us”
IMS “B” team ties at Condon

The lone Middle School girls’ “B” team challenged
the Condon Demons on Friday, Jan 28 The Cardinals only
played one half o f the “B” game because the Demons do
not have a very big team
In the first quarter, lone scored two points and
Condon scored six. However, in the second quarter, the
Cardinals came to life and scored six points while the
Demons only scored two, leaving the final score at an 8-8
tie.
Mariah Bradfield led the Cardinals in scoring with
four points Brianna Peterson and Tori Heagy added two
points each
“The B team only played two quarters, but they
played exceptionally well at both ends o f the court,” said
Coach Lynn Dee Ramos. “The B team has a lot o f heart
and really goes after a win They matched up well against
Condon and played hard ”

Kevin LaRue lead the Cardinals scoring five points,
with Tanner Rietmann scoring four and Gunner Jessen
scoring two
“The kids played well'. We ‘trussed & lot o f close
shots, but we continue to improve running the offense every
week,” said Coach Mike Garrett. “I was really happy with
the hustle and good attitude they have shown all year.”
IMS “A” team boys defeat Condon

The lone Middle School boys’ “A” team took on
the Condon Demons for the second time this season and
once again defeated them, 38-32, on Friday, Jan. 28
In the first quarter, the Cardinals outscored the
Demons with a score o f 10-7. By halftime, the score had
grown on both sides and the game was at 17-13 with lone
still in the lead. In the third quarter, the game stayed close
with the Cardinals scoring eight points to the Demon’s

caught the Cardinals, but with a previous lead, the Cardinals
defeated the Demons with a score of 38-32.
The scoring was very well balanced, with Cory
Peterson and Clay Morter leading the Cardinals in scoring
10 points each Matt Hams scored nine points, Stormy
Kendrick added seven points and RJ Ramos had two points.
“We got ourselves in early foul trouble and turned
the ball over more than I like. Our bench players came in
and played great. Luke Bradfield and RJ Ramos both played
very good games,” said Coach Mike Garrett. “Condon is a
good team that runs a tough pick and roll and we had a
hard time stopping it at times. Matt Hams hit some key
free throws down the stretch and that was the difference in
the game. I was proud o f all o f the kids for sticking with it
and getting a good win,” said Coach Garrett.

On Sunday, Jan ,30, 15 shooters enjoyed a sunny,
