Students at Heppner Elementary School spent Monday afternoon shooting; off the rockets they
had created. Once the rockets shot into the air, tiny parachutes popped out to guide the rocket
safety hack to the ground.

defeated in five very close
games: 22-25,23-25,25-19,
25-21 and 14-16.
Jenny Griffith led the
Lady Cards with 15 points,
three aces, 34 passes, three
hits, seven kills and two
blocks. Follow ing close
behind were Sara Peck and
Ashly Grams with 12 points
each Peck also had tw o
aces, 70 passes, one block,
five hits and 20 kills Grams
had four aces, nine hits,
seven passes and 55 set
assists.

I have known both
candidates for many years
and personally like both of
them Mr Matlack worked
for me w hen he was
stationed at both The Dalles
and Arlington and I was the
Region 5 Commander for
the Oregon State Police
Although I had been
a cq u ain ted w ith S h eriff
Denton for several years, my
first occasion to get to really
know him was when we both
atten d ed N o rth w estern
University’s School of Police
Staff and Command. This
course was very tough and
Sheriff Denton, to his credit,
excelled

C-team, 1 would say that we
had a pretty good season
Even though we had many
differences, we got along
pretty well
