All area youth w ho are at least eight years o f age, but not m ore than 13 years o f age, as o f April 1, 2004, are encouraged to attend and com pete. Sign-up for both girls and boys will be at 1:30 p.m. Boys com petition will be held in one gym , girls in the other. Local co-chairs o f the event are M arc O rem and Dean Robinson. The Elks have sponsored the annual H oop Shoot affair for m any years. All participants will receive a certificate o f accom plishm ent. Local winners in each age group w ill go on to com pete in the D istrict com petition in H erm iston later in January. There are no fees to participate.
