the Port of Morrow to include
a new Goal 3 Exception. This
action, if approved, would com­
plete comprehensive plan and
zoning amendments to autho­
rize a speedway and speedway
associated uses on approxi­
m ately 1400 acres at the
Boardman airport. The subject
property is described as tax lot

five miles west of the City of
Boardman, just south of Inter­
state-84 and west of Tower
Road.

the County Court on remand
will be limited to consideration
of Goal 3 exceptions for the
proposed uses, all evidence and
testimony should be directed
only towards the applicable
goal exception standards.
Opportunity to voice support
or opposition to the above land
use action or to ask questions
will be provided. Failure to
raise an issue in person or by
letter or failure to provide suf­
ficient specificity to afford the
decision maker an opportunity
to respond to the issue pre­
cludes appeal to the Land Use
Board of Appeals based on

digging beds in Fossil, and
before law enforcement can
get there, it disappears. The
only evidence that remains is a
scrap of bloody cloth.

citizens o f Fossil solve this
[fictitious] mystery.
In the face o f a severe
city budget crisis, volunteers
and businesses o f Fossil have
rallied to raise funds to re­
o p e n th e c o m m u n ity ’s
recently-closed public library,
to help a child in need o f
m edical care, and to raise
funds for maintenance o f city
parks and other com m unity
improvement projects.
A com m unity-w ide
M urder M ystery W eekend
organized by the Friends o f
the Fossil Library is set for O ct
3-4 at Fossil.
Visitors and residents
may participate as a m ystery
solver by registering at the
Fossil Public Library either
day. The $3 registration fee will

library and will enter mystery
solvers in a draw ing to win
