It is, friends, fun and
learning about nature, cooking,
grow ing plants, photography,
a n im a l c a re , o r w o rk in g
together to help others.
W ho can belong to 4-
H? - A nyone kind erg arten
through 12th grade. You’ll find
4-H throughout your county,
state, country, and the world.
Kindergarteners through third
g r a d e r s m u s t j o i n 4 -H
adventure clubs. In M orrow
C ounty, w e have over 450
m em bers in grades 4 through
12 .
Look w hat you can
do in 4-H ? - M em bers are
enrolled in anim al science,
n a tu r a l s c ie n c e , h o m e
econom ics, and expressive
arts project areas.
W hat do you do in 4-
H? - It depends on you. 4-H
m em bers m ay be a friend in
the sam e grade or school, or

d e c id e to be a c tiv e in the
com m unity, raise m oney for
charity, becom e involved in
recycling projects or build
nature trails. You can go on
field trips or to 4-H camp. The
choices grow as you get older.
D oes 4-H cost a lot?
- There are no state or national
dues or required uniform. You
pay $5 per year for project
materials and insurance in most
clubs. Your 4-H club m ay
decide to collect dues to fund
special activities.
H ow do you jo in 4-
H? - It’s easy. C hoose the
project you like. A sk som e
friends or brothers and sisters
to jo in yo u . A sk p a re n ts,
grandparents, adult friends or
n e ig h b o rh o o d adults to be
your leader. Several adults can
share this responsibility. You
need only tw o m em bers, but
you can have as m any as you
like. D eterm ine the projects
your club w ould like to enroll
in and visit the Extension office
or call an agent for help. There
