lone Legion Auxiliary met at
June Crowell’s house on April
13 and prepared 14 gift boxes
for local servicem en. These
gifts w ere collected by lone
G ra d e S c h o o l s tu d e n ts ,
teachers, local tow nspeople
and auxiliary members. These
boxes were sent to serv icemen
overseas and in the U.S.
The Auxiliary met on
May 6 for the monthly meeting
at the Office Tavern. By a
u n a n im o u s b a llo t, it w as
decided to keep the same slate
o f officers as the previous year.

poppies on M ay 22-23.
The M em orial Day
service will be at the lone
school flagpole on M onday,

JVs rallied to tie the Pendleton

Mustangs sweep Stanfield in softball

M ustang softball team swept
the visiting Stanfield Tigers 11 -
0 and 16-6 w ith both gam es
ending in five innings due to the
10-run rule. The M ustangs
improved to 6-15 overall and
4-10 in the Eastern O regon
League. To close out the year,
the C ardinals w ill travel to
W ahtonka on Saturday, M ay
17 for a doubleheader before
p la y in g a t S ta n f ie ld on
Tuesday, M ay 20 to m ake up
a d o u b le h e a d e r th a t w as
rained out earlier in the season

M adison B ailey had a RBI
single.
They added five more

The Tigers scored five

Mustangs came back with six
runs in the bottom half to take
