The H ep p n er C ham ber o f C om m erce wishes one and all the luck o’ the Irish as we go into the 21 st St. Patrick’s Celebration. We hope all visitors enjoy the weekend in Heppner and the Willow Creek Valley. Visit the green information booth or the Chamber o f Commerce for visitor information. ’Tis indeed more than a stroke of luck to have so many giving volunteers and businesses working hard to bring smiles to the faces of one and all during this Wee Bit O ’ Ireland celebration. And sp eak in g o f smiles, that was one o f the to p ics o f the C h am b er Customer Service training the past week where 100-plus employees over a two day period shared and absorbed ideas presented by Nancy Gochnauer, Nancy Snider and myself. Sometimes one may feel happy as a leprechaun on the inside yet look like an ogre on the outside for reasons ranging from much on the mind to gravity. One and all will work on their smiles and some of us will be taking donations for a jowl uplift! Evaluations indicated the desire for more training sessions. A later article will give more details on the sessions. This was just a taste o f m any m ore tra in in g >. opportunities throughout the year as a result of Chamber Third Tuesday discussions.
