Ione handed disappointment by Condon
lone's varsity volleyball
team was handed a disappoint­
ing loss on Tuesday, Oct. 22. The
Cardinals won first game, 25-20.
Natalie and Diana McElligott did
an outstanding job o f defending
the net. In the second game, the
score rem ained extremely tight
but Condon had three blockers
on Team M cElligott and pulled
out the w in with a score o f 21 -
25. lone was fatigued and unable
to get another win from Condon
losing the next two gam es, 17-
25, 11-25.
Diana M cElligott and
M egan E. M cCabe scored nine
points each to lead their team on
the scoreboard. Diana McElligott
also led the team with passes and
hits. Natalie M cElligott led the
C a rd in a ls w ith k ills , w h ile
M eghan M cCabe led the team
with set assists.
Diana M cElligott con­
tributed nine points, 43 passes,
45 hits, 11 kills and four blocks
during the match. Caitlin Orem
donated four points, 38 passes
and five hits. Tracy Griffith ham­
mered five hits and passed seven

five points, delivered 26 passes,
three hits, one kill and 44 set as­

five points, delivered 40 passes,

defensive hits. Emily Key scored
