man tract”, a 93,000 acre state-
owned property located in Mor
row County. The entire Boeing-
Boardman tract is being sold by
the state to BAIC. As part of that
transaction, BAIC would convey
a 22,000 acre portion of that tract
(the “conservation area”) to a land
trust to be managed for wildlife.
If funds are available, that would
be done by selling fee simple title
or a permanent easement to the
land trust. O therw ise, BAIC
would convey a temporary ease
ment to the land trust. To memo
rialize the arrangements for the
management of the conservation
area, ODFW proposes to retain
a “conservation easement” over
the conservation area. The re-

Oregon law (OFfS 271.735) re

public hearing in the local com

Com m ents are welcom e

whether ODFW should retain this
conservation easement. This is
the only issue that will be ad

sentative o f ODFW will be
present at the hearing to listen to
and record verbal public com
ments, accept any written public
comments and answer questions.

it’s a thing of the past. No more dirty ashtrays. No more

Because now smoking doesn’t work in Oregon. And I’m
