In 2001, a severe Douglas-Fir
tussock moth infestation killed
trees across 3,500 acres of the
Heppner Ranger District. The
District proposes to salvage har­
vest 584 acres that experienced
almost complete tree mortality,
and to commercially thin anoth­
er 277 acres of densely stocked
stands to prevent further mortal­
ity. The goal of this proposal is
to recov er the economic value of
dead trees and improve forest
health within the Bologna Creek
Watershed. Maps and a detailed
proposal are available upon re­
quest from the District office.

able to locate the subjects.

received a report of an alarm at
K&L Farms. It was a false alarm.
-Boardman Police Dept, of­
ficer cited Juan Longoria, Sr., for

of equipment at the bow ling al­

ceived a report of a stolen cell

two burglary alarms at a resi­
dence in lrrigon. It was a false
alarm; the daughter accidentally
set offthe alarm.
-Oregon State Police re­
ceived a report of a possible DU 11
on Kunze Lane.
-Oregon State Police re ­
ceived a report of a disabled ve­
hicle on 1-84 westbound
-Heppner Police Dept, re­
ceived several hang-up 911 calls
from a residence in Heppner. On
attempted recontact, a voice, pos­
sibly a juvenile, was heard yell­
ing.
Feb. 14: MCSO received a
request to speak to an officer who
worked on a particular case.
-MCSO, Boardman Police
Dept, received a hang-up 911
call. An officer was unable to lo­
cate any subjects.
-MCSO received a report
from Boardman Foods of a vehi­
cle leB in the parking lot for a
week. The tag tow sticker had
also been scraped off the win­
dow.
-MCSO deputy cited Zi-
chong Chen, 23, of Hermiston for
Exceeding the Maximum Speed
Limit, 85 mph in a 65 mph zone.
-Heppner Police Dept, re­
ceived a report from a caller in
Heppner that his father was try­
ing to force an entrance into the
residence. It was determined all
was okay.
-MCSO received a report
from a caller in lone that his ex­
girlfriend was moving her stuff
out o f his residence and he
thought she had taken his video
camera.
-MCSO arrested Naomi
Plisek, 18, for Hindering Prose­
cution. She was lodged at the
Umatilla County Jail with $7,500
bail.
-MCSO deputy arrested Greg
Alan Bass, 21, on a Morrow
County Circuit Court warrant for
Failure to Appear/Possession of
a Controlled Substance II, Crim­
inal Trespass I; and on an lrrigon
Justice Court warrant for Failure
to Appear/Driving while License
Suspended. He was lodged at the

$26,000 bail.
-Heppner Police Dept, offic­
er cited Ryan Soper for Failure
to Use a Seat Belt.
-MCSO received a report
from a caller in Heppner that a
landlord of an apartment com­
plex in Heppner threatened her.
-MCSO, lrrigon Ambulance
received a report from a caller in
lrrigon that her 18-day old infant
was not breathing. The infant was
also two month premature. While
on the line, the infant started
breathing. The parents took the
infant to the doctor by private
vehicle.
-MCSO received a request
for a deputy at Columbia Middle
School in lrrigon regarding a stu­
dent involved in an assault.

SheriB", Sherman County Sheriff,
Boardman Police Dept, received
a request from UCSO to attempt
to locate a vehicle that was in­
volved in a theft of saddles in the
Hermiston area earlier in the
month. The vehicle was seen in
Tillamook and may be heading
east again.
-MCSO received a request
for a deputy contact from a call­
er in Heppner regarding being
assaulted by a male subject in
Heppner the previous night.
-MCSO received a request
for deputy contact from a caller
in lrrigon regarding a motor ve­
hicle accident his son was in­
volved in. It was a non-injury
accident and was not reported.
The other party did not want law
enforcement involved.
-MCSO deputy gave a cour­
tesy ride to a person whose vehi­
cle broke down on 1-84 east-
bound.
-MCSO received a report
from Portland Police Dept, that
George Daniel Pasqual, 51, was
arrested on a Heppner Justice
Court warrant for Failure to Ap­
pear. He was lodged at the Mult­
nomah County Jail with $6,000
bail.
-MCSO received a report
from a caller in Boardman that
two females in a vehicle almost
caused him to have an accident.
The females then yelled obscen­
ities and leB.
-lrrigon Fire Dept, received
a tone out for an illegal bum in
lrrigon.
-MCSO deputy cited John F.
Cronin, 46, for Violation of the
Basic Rule, 74 mph in a 55 mph
zone.
-MCSO received a report of
a vehicle racing up and down
Wilson Lane in Boardman.
-MCSO requested deputy
contact regarding a custody issue.
Feb. 15: MCSO deputy re­
ported a vehicle with its doors
open. The owner advised he left
the doors open.

Dept, received a report of a vehi­
cle trespass at the Tillamook
Cheese Plant. The vehicle’s own­

Lane. The man had been hit with
two, two-ton bales of hay; he was
bleeding from the nose and
mouth and had severe spinal in­
juries. People were maintaining
the airway. The patient was trans­
ported to Good Shepherd Medi­
cal Center in Hermiston and the
trauma unit was notified.
-Heppner Police Dept, re­
ceived a report from a caller in
Heppner that a small child had
thrown a piece of metal at her car.
-Heppner Police Dept, re­
ceived a report from a caller in
Heppner that a young boy was
throwing rocks at vehicles.
-Heppner Police Dept, re­
ceived a report from a caller in
Heppner of an abandoned vehi­
cle at the storage units in Hepp­
ner. An officer was unable to lo­
cate the vehicle.
-MCSO received a report
from a caller in Boardman of a
calf running loose. The caller
called back and said the calf went
home.
-MCSO, Boardman Police
Dept, received a report from a
caller in Boardman of a mattress
fire behind the Sandpiper Apts.
It was reported that no structures
were threatened.
-MCSO deputy cited Angela
Abuco for Violation of the Basic
Rule, 56 mph in a 40 mph zone.
-MCSO received a report
from Oregon State Police that
Delbert Dungan, 46, was arrest­
ed on a Heppner Justice Court
warrant for Failure to Pay Fine/
DUII, Driving while License
Suspended (x2). He was lodged
at the Umatilla County Jail with
$3,763 bail.
-MCSO, Boardman Police
Dept, received a report from the
Boardman Texaco of an unwant­
ed person who was yelling and
shouting because they didn't
have Mickey’s Big Mouth.
-MCSO, Boardman Police
Dept, received a report from a
caller in Boardman of a MIP par­
ty in a parking lot. Officers were
unable to locate anyone.
-MCSO received a report
from a caller in lrrigon that his
wife w ouldn’t leave the resi­
dence. They had both been drink­
ing and there were weapons in the
residence but there was no vio­
lence involved.
-MCSO received a report
from a caller in lrrigon of an
alarm sounding at the lrrigon Post
Office. A deputy attempted to
contact the postmaster, but was
unable to locate her.

Basic Rule, 54 mph in a 40 mph
zone and Driving while License
Suspended. The vehicle was im­
pounded.
-MCSO received a report
from a caller in lrrigon of a wom­
an having severe abdominal pain.
The patient was transported to
Good Shepherd Medical Center
in Hermiston.
-MCSO deputy cited Kelly
Lynn Gonzales, 39, for Exceed­
ing the Maximum Speed Limit,
81 mph in a 65 mph zone.
-MCSO received a report
from a caller in lrrigon whose
vehicle was broken into the pre­
vious night. Money, a stereo and
speakers were taken.
-MCSO received a request
for contact with the Heppner Fire
Chief.
-MCSO, City of Heppner re­
ceived a report from a caller in
Heppner who said the sewer had
been backed up all week. The res­
idence had also been out of wa­
ter for a couple of days. The
plumber advised the problem was
in the yard.
-MCSO, UCSO received a
report of a hit and run from a call­
er in lrrigon whose vehicle was t
hit in Hermiston.
-MCSO received a report ▼
from a caller in lrrigon who
found a Wal-Mart bag in her yard
that was full of candy and a cell
phone.
-MCSO, lrrigon Fire Dept,
received a report of a fire burn­
ing out of control at Highway 730
and Rand Road. The fire was put
out.
-MCSO received a report
from a caller of a pickup in the
ditch on Highway 730 and 8th
West in lrrigon. One person was
standing outside the vehicle and
both doors were open. A deputy
was unable to locate the vehicle.
-MCSO received a report
from Oregon State Police that
David W. Eldrige, 35, was arrest­
ed on a Heppner Justice Court
warrant for Failure to Pay Fine/
Harassment.
-MCSO received a report of
a fire on Sandhollow Road. The
owner advised to let it bum.
-MCSO deputy cited Micha­
el Gordon Parrish, 46, for Viola­
tion of the Basic Rule, 74 mph in
a 55 mph zone.
-MCSO deputy cited Mark
Sherman Blurton, for Failure to
Obey a Traffic Control Device.
